  6. That wasn't just the keyboard, that was the computer itself so to speak, with the integrated keyboard. Remember the Commodore Amiga? Back then they knew how make technology as compact as possible. biggrin

    Just an hour ago, in Larisa, Greece, poor bus driver who recently gor divorced, got attacked by his ex-wife and mother-in-law whilst in his public transportation bus. The women boarded the bus he was driving full of people and beat him up. The mighty duo even threw a cup of coffee on him.

    Do not get me started...

    The general trend in the Netherlands is that girls are infected both by Sex & The City and Dr. Phil.
    In other words: they want the perfect relationship, and they want it now. And the very idea that it's something that requires work and communication is unthinkable. After all, they deserve only the best. TV has told them so. So if anything is perceived as not perfect, you should walk away.

    I wish I was just acting silly and cynical about it, but it's a trend I can see growing.
    I have so many lady friends and acquaintances that are getting desperate because they're still living alone...yet the very idea that they should maybe look at their own (to my mind utterly untenable and extremely media-influenced) standards is not something they're ready to contemplate.

    I've likened their standards to not being unlike guys in their fifties demanding that ALL they should have as a mate is a twenty-something double-D breasted blonde student. I wasn't thanked.

    I do so find putting on a cliched accent helps one over feelings of stirring cans of worms in the friend of one, just as I find one can dig ones hole deeper by making ones explanation as long winded as one possibly can when the choice for one could have been put into a single sentence wink

    I agree. Not only Sex and the City but most (if not all) of the so called romantic comedies of the last fifteen years. Oh, and the Twilight saga is gonna do the same for a new generation.

    Agree. Completely screwing some poor women minds around the globe; those who are immature enough to actually believe that shit are usually the standard type that's eventually left alone and goes through the "men are pigs anyway, i'll never find the right one*1 so i'm better alone with my friends*2 " kind of attitude such shows / movies present.

    *2 until the female friends find a boyfriend and start back-stabbing each other in trademarked feminine jealousy that is wink

    I am happy though 'cause as with every rule there's always exceptions; my gf for instance, agrees that the kind of woman presented in sex and the city are essentially 4 old miserable low-life hacks that try to fill the voids of their lives with commercialism and shiny crappy expensive things and of course via fucking anything that moves.
