Helloooo guys - the prodigal son returns !
This is my first day back behind the computer - I've been home since saturday afternoon ,
but I haven't had the strenght and the will to log in earlier .
I only actually started to feel better since about two days ago , though the pain sometimes still sets trough especially in the morning when I get out of bed .
The surgery went very well , they rolled me in at around 9 am and I woke up at the recovery at 1 pm .
The days after were pure torture for me as I felt very badly and weak .
Then they noticed my hemagoblin values were too low so they gave me some extra blood (3 bags) and I felt better instantly .
When I got home on saturday I didn't feel too bad but shortly after I had a rebounce and felt awful again .
I also developed a fever !
Lots of rest and meds helped me through that one ...
Since yesterday my eating habits are slowly but surely getting back to normal again as well .
I'm still walking around with the probe , but I hope they'll remove that tomorrow when I have to go back and have a scan to see if everything's alright inside .
They also send my prostate to the lab for analysis and later they told me that the cancer hadn't grown outside the shell of the prostate , so that was TERRIFIC news - I don't need any chemo now !
Still lots of recovery to do , but I hope to get there ... in time ...
Looking forward in getting more active again here at MT !"Simplicity is the key to brilliance" -

3 BAGS OF EXTRA BLOOD!!!? ....You greedy sod!
Seriously though Eric, I'm so pleased for you that things are going well, thank all the gods that the cancer hadn't spread any further and that you'll be spared getting nuked.
I celebrate your return....
To good health and to you and yours Eric

Yay! We need more Belgians here. So don't leave us again like that.
Glad to hear you're feeling okay in the end, and that dreadful disease is no more. THX for the re-welcome and well wishes guys ... I'm touched ...
The scan went A ok today and everything looks great inside .
They also removed all my stitches and finally my probe .
Boy , am I glad to get rid of that !!
Now it's back to school for me as I need how to learn to pee again and to hold it up again .
That muscle's been on holiday for 10 - 11 days !!
I hope to get it back under control again with lots of exercises but such things need time ..."Simplicity is the key to brilliance" -

This seems like the right place to start here. I decided to share my love for filmmusic, and what better place to do it? Let's start with apologizing for any (technical) stupidities I might make on this forum in the future: my laptop and I seem to hate eachother.
To give a little impression of myself: I have put some information on my profile page.
I believe I might have posted an entry or two on the ScoreReviews board a very, very long time ago. I hope I'll "fit in" here.
Best wishes, Gretta

hello everybody,
my name is lars and i'm new on this message board. i love filmmusic since 1996, when i saw THE ROCK. composers i like are john powell, james newton howard, james horner, hans zimmer, brian tyler and klaus badelt. but my favourite composer is trevor rabin. i love his tuneful entertaining music. for me it's pure fun. i really like to discuss about filmmusic i hope we can share some thoughts about this topic. -

Have a good stay here Lars. I'm sure there are at least one or two guys here who are seriously into Rabin, not me though!

thanks for your nice welcome. yes i'm from germany and i'm also a member in a german filmmusic forum. there aren't many rabin fans too, but that's ok. i also listen to other composers. the important thing for me is the listening experience of the score. -

I love Rabin, actually, and I think quite a few here do too (unlike more "conservative" messageboards, like FSM). I liked the bit about the "listening experience" being the most important thing for a soundtrack album. We definitely see eye to eye there.I am extremely serious.
