Ah, I'd love a good rain here. We don't get them during the winter.
    I am extremely serious.
  1. Too much cloud this morning to see the partial solar eclipse. It's been cloudy and dull for days here.

Raining none stop for two days now. I hope it'll stop tomorrow so we will have a chance to see the eclipse.

All the snow has melted now though ...

  3. My mistake. Prof Brian Cox has reminded me that the eclipse is not until tomorrow morning. But it will still be cloudy.

    Sure!

I suggest playing Vaughan Williams symphony 7 'Antartica', it won't physically help you but it'll sound great in your surroundings. wink

Chaos even in Norway today, as Oslo (and Eastern Norway) has been engulfed in heavy snow (although traffic mostly seems to go as usual). If it's still here tomorrow morning, I'll shoot some pics. It's like an 80 cm high pile on my balcony!
    I am extremely serious.

Hey, Alan, pr. your snow pic over at facebook, here are some that I shot from my balcony today:

    http://www.celluloidtunes.net/non-website/snow2.jpg
    http://www.celluloidtunes.net/non-website/snow3.jpg

I would say this is about medium amount snow in Oslo this time of year. Not as spectacular as last year, but still enough to be annoying. At least to me.

brrrrrrrrrr freezing Cool ( pun intended ) pics Thor.

As I said elsewhere, I would recommend Vaughan Williams # 7 or Morricone's The Thing to be the soundtrack of your predicament. wink

well rivers that can't support the rising water anymore and then tend to overflood, they say the rivers are rising 30 cm per hour, so they haven't seen the worst yet

You have a point oh omnipotent one, it's wet and miserable here too though no one has died in any flood, though that does happen periodically here, even in hilly Britain.
