- Comment People who liked "Flow Like Water" obviously missed the superb end credits suite for The Last Airbender. It boggles the mind why that wasn't included on the CD release.

- Comment Absolutely true, Erik. Sometimes I think David Fincher has lost his marbles -- he's gotten composers like David Shire, Howard Shore, and Alexandre Desplat to write some beautiful and evocative scores for his previous films. Now he's fallen in love with these techy-soundscape composers and doesn't ...

- Comment NP: Film Music (Stromberg & Morgan) Wonderful music. Of course, the composers assembled it as a listening experience demo for people interested in hiring them (which has lots of moods and tempos mixed throughout) ... but very dynamic and nicely-orchestrated music nonetheless. Another ...

- Comment For me, Bill Condon gets good work out of Burwell. I pray Burwell takes a leaf out of Desplat and Shore's book and try for a more romantic string theme, in addition to Bella's Lullaby. And I think he'll tone down the electric guitars and synths as well.

- Comment Skyline is a truly awful motion picture. Tyler should be thankful he was too busy to score that POS. If anything, it's proof that the Strause Brothers can't do a good movie even without studio interference. Among other things, an awful cast and a SyFy-worthy script. It has good special ...

- Comment Stargate Atlantis s1 I've been dipping my toes in the water, so to speak. So far, it's an entertaining series (about four episodes in). - Comment Batman - Danny Elfman Haven't listened to this in a long time. Probably Elfman's most straightforward and enjoyable score. The orchestration and the playing by the Sinfonia of London Orchestra really elevate this score to a level Elfman doesn't hit often. Just a joy to listen to.
