- Comment Medicine Man - Jerry Goldsmith Last time I mentioned how I cannot really like Total Recall. Now, Medicine Man is a score by Goldsmith that is much more fun to listen to. I prefer this melodic side of Goldsmith, that's for sure.

- Comment L'inchiesta - Andrea Morricone It is the first five tracks that are the absolute highlight and the rest of the score never reaches these heights again. Some suspense tracks and some variations of the aforementioned themes. If the rest of the score would be as good as the first five tracks ...

- Comment
DreamTheater wrote I guess we're always drawn the most to the composer who introduces us into this genre. Not a general idea though, but we're always inclined to deify a composer because of that very first special score.
Yes, but it can change. As a kid, the music of Star ...

- Comment I also like the music of Sherlock Holmes. It's much better than his other recent scores. For me it was one of the things that was good in Sherlock Holmes. Without the music the movie would be even more boring and uninteresting.

- Comment Non c'e due senza quatro - Franco Micalizzi I needed some light and fun music so I put on this CD. The movies of the Bud Spencer - Terence Hill duo were very popular in Hungary in the '80s along with the music of those films so this CD brings back happy memories from my childhood.

- Comment I've been revisiting some Zimmers: Batman Begins Even though I much prefer Batman Begins to The Dark Knight as a movie, it's the opposite with the scores: The Dark Knight is much more dynamic and interesting. Batman Begins has about 5 very good tracks but the resti is a bit boring. The ...

- Comment
Thor wrote My reaction to this announcement is predictable, but I'll say it anyway just because I can: I have zero interest in an expanded ID4, of course. Even the old RCA album is bordering slightly on gratuity in terms of length (given the bombastic nature of the music). In fact, ...

- Comment Total Recall - Jerry Goldsmith I still can't really like this album. There are some good tracks in it, for sure, but all those action materials sound rather non-melodic to my ears. I know that this is considered to be one of the peaks of action soundtracks but I can't help I prefer ...

- Comment Aida degli alberi - Ennio Morricone A rare movie type for the Maestro: animation. Of course he does it flawlessly. A very good score with the usual emotional Morricone themes and some playful but short tracks. I even love the songs - why not? They were also written by Morricone.

- Comment Angels and Demons - Hans Zimmer It's been about the 4th-5th time I listened to this score and the first time when I actually liked most of what I was hearing. The first two tracks and the last two tracks are the highlights. Still, I don't think it will become a favourite of mine.

- Comment
PawelStroinski wrote I like to see Prince of Egypt as a psychological drama at a core.
I agree. They wrote a very dramatic movie from the Bible story. That's why children didn't really enjoy it. It's a rather mature animated movie that's enjoyed much more by adults.
