- Comment I echo Edmund's sentiments about not having children in this day and age...apart from the fact that I'm too old, too single and too gay to become a father in any case. The next four years won't be good ones for the environment, that's for sure. Stocks for mining and construction companies are ...

- Comment
Martijn wrote What would behoove the "elite" is to take a step BACK rather than forward and stop labelling and belittling those that do not fit the preconceived molds. To start moderating the social and public debate in such a way that a dissenting voice does not immediately ...

- Comment Howdy! I've recently found an OOP book I'd been looking for on the Dutch version of BOL (Books OnLine, I suppose). Unfortunately, the seller won't ship to Germany. Is there anybody from these two countries (NL or BE) who would be willing to act as an "in-between-mailman" for me? I. e., ...

- Comment A bit late... The Highlands are indeed in the centre of Iceland and were simply stunning. Our field trip back in 2005 lasted three weeks. Haven't really been to the Westfjords...they are sparsely populated and from what I've heard/seen, they are not unlike the Norwegian fjords. CK :)

- Comment *envy alert* I definitely liked the Northeast the most, esp. the area around Mývatn (fresh lava fields and geothermal areas that steam and stink! ). The empty Highlands (Kjölur, Sprengisandur, Askja) I found utterly spellbinding. The rugged fjords in the East are also worth a visit. ...
