- discussion topic CD COVERS | The good, the bad and the ugly
- Comment I hate CD covers (and spines) which don't make it clear whether the music is an original or a re-recording. Bought a CD of music featuring the voice/vocals of Edda del'Orso and the track listing is written in a serif font which is nigh on impossible to read.

- Comment I paid £30-odd pounds for a new copy of Danny Elfman's Midnight Run last year. But, when I've bought several CDs at once, the total has often been above this.

- Comment On yesterday's Columbo, Billy Connolly played a film composer who turned to murder when his dark secret was about to be exposed. In the story, his creative juices had begun to dry up five years previously. At that time, he met a young wannabe film composer and took him on as his apprentice. ...

- discussion topic In the film but not in the soundtrack...
- Comment Isn't there also an issue with the way in which the music - as composed and recoreded for the film - can get changed around? I've got several Film Score Monthly releases, and their liner notes are interesting because they illustrate how often music cues as recorded end up being dropped or moved ...

- Comment The M.A.S.H. soundtrack. It's the biggest load of crap I've heard in a long time. I'm not even sure if the music even accompanies those ...

- discussion topic film music question
- Comment The thing I really like about film music is the way in which you can find any genre within the movies. What's really interesting is that you can sometimes find different styles of music within the same film. Fred Karlin's Westworld is a good example of this: jaunty, Western-style ...
