I live off of water bottles, diet cranberry juice, and water w/ lemon.
I occasionally have un-sweetened iced tea w/ lemon.
I'm a sucker for lemonade (the fresh kind with the pulp in it).
What about an iced-lemon drink? Best drink ever for a hot summer afternoon.
want.
Don´t tell me you don´t usually drink iced-lemon drinks during summer!

I ordered one of those on Champs-Elysées in 1995 or thereabouts. It's probably the most expensive, non-alchoholic drink I've ever bought; I paid about 80 NOK for it (about $15).
That´s damn expensive, but expected in the Champs Elysées I´m afraid. I buy them here for about 2,5€Anything with an orchestra or with a choir....at some point will reach you -

That drink in Ubeda was heavenly! It's never usually hot enough to warrant something like that over here. -

I quickly found out the hard way to be careful where you pull up for a drink in Paris, it can be hellishly expensive otherwise. On Friday I ate a lot of dust and appeared orange near the end of the day ~ Bregt -

Today we visited the Rodenbach brewery, which produces my favourite beer. It's a dark red beer with a little fruit taste and sour taste. It's often compared, or at least linked to the taste of red wine, but it's not a substitute or so. It's brew in traditional Flemish style, and aged in oak barrels (which are hand made in the factory too).
The brewery is located in the middle of West-Flanders (Roeselare), and was until not long ago still a family owned company. Today the family works together with Palm breweries, but it's still independent, unlike the larger beers in Belgium (Jupiler, Stella Artois, Leffe, ...). The first Rodenbach was made in 1821! Some buildings are actually protected too (as part of the Protected Monument Patrimony)
Michael Jackson (not the singer, but the walking beer encyclopedia) called it once the most refreshing beer in the world!
Some pictures.

It was my first visit to a brewery actually. Some of the sights were quite 'romantic', like the hall with all the barrels. It certainly shows how great the beer tradition in Belgium is!Kazoo -

Belgium Beers are clearly the best I've ever tasted. I just had a Gouden Carolus Ambrio which was sooooo yummy. I'm still waiting for that fateful day when I can have the honor of enjoying a Westvleteren 12. Then I can die a happy man!

I'm a big fan of LEFFE BLOND and DUVEL myselfwaaaaaahhhhhhhh!!! Where's my nut? arrrghhhhhhh -

Leffe Blond? Yeah, that stuff gets you wasted, but it's got a weird taste. I'm drinking 'Brakspear Triple' at the moment (a random ale), and that's 7.2%. -

I drank a lot of PALM beer many years ago in Amsterdam. It is a Belguim beer isn't it?Anything with an orchestra or with a choir....at some point will reach you -

Yup!
Leffe is indeed popular and very good, but sadly it's part of the Inbev brand. The Belgian/Brazlilian/whatnot Inbev is the second largest or so beer company in the world (they bought Budweiser for some reason ). They are a bit to blame the diminish of traditional beer breweries in Belgium unfortunately. So I prefer to drink beers not from Inbev, which means not much Jupiler, Stella, Hoegaarden, Belle-Vue, ... but lots of Rodenbach, Duvel, Primus, ...
Still, we're the only country in the world that still uses oak barrels to let the beer grow, and we're the only country that brews beer with spontaneous fermentation! Belgian tradition ftw!Kazoo -
