"Captain Tripps" is the name of the (fictional) lethal pandemic disease from Stephen King's book The Stand.

While a good deal quicker and deadlier, it starts out exactly like this particular strain of flu we're experiencing today. Me, I've been walking around with it for over a month now. It's bloody ridiculous. :sniffle:

The odd thing is that when I read the book in 1980 i actually read one chapter on the exact date it was set and I had a cold! shocked

I believe King updated the book in recent years?

Whoops. Sorry! I so hoped you'd come and I certainly was not forgetting, hence my text messages and phone calls. Forgetting you to mention is just plain stupid. My only excuse is that there were too many people who'd originally come, but had to cancel. Otherwise we'd have been with 12 instead of 7. smile

There was only one camera, and Bregt -obviously cowed by mine and Bob's verbal onslaught- only remembered it by the time everyone was leaving (or maybe he was just too drunk by that time).
So I guess all the pictures have epicfailed. sad

Finally found a USB cable to connect the camera with my laptop. Though, the pictures are not very good, and for safety reasons (and confidentiality) I will not post them.

    But there was Looza involved.

  3. Oh it was short but good. Only 5 of us, with 1 who is not on MT primarily, but should be, he's a major Goldsmith-fan and would contribute a lot.

It could've used some more oomph from the totally absent dutch, if you know what i mean.

Next time you'd better join the party Eric. wave

And the food was pizzarific !!!!

I'll join you guys next time , but as I told Thomas in a PM , I really wasn't up to my old self yet ...
And in my situation , if you gotta run to the toilet a lot of the time , it kinda takes the fun out of it .
I hope to get everything back under control soon .

But you can't keep me away next time , mark my words ... wink

Yeah, a short pizza-eat and drink in Antwerp, but only Belgians were allowed. wink

I wonder when we can do a new meeting with Bregje, Martijn, Bob and perhaps Joep ( wink ) too. It has never worked out. Perhaps at the end of this year, like we planned last year? In Delft?

Days in the Christmas holidays would be the best. In school weeks I'm very busy, at least until february. So 19th or 20th december could be nice!

What about a Mediterranean meeting in the summer? Greece, Italy or anywhere else! Me and D will be great hosts!
