It's interesting to observe the frequency and quantity of people who start with Zimmer / RC and end up with Giacchino and co. One thing's for sure though; everyone MUST attribute to Zimmer and gang the entrance of hordes of new fans into the genre each year, for sure!
Wait...who would be included in the "and co."? I hope there's not a negative connotation in there as regards Giacchino... though I don't suspect that's what you meant.
At any rate, most of the reasons I have for loving Giacchino's music are the very same reasons why I've drifted away from Zimmer.
As in "better than RC composers". No worries, i am a huge fan of Giacchino, i thought you understood that from my welcoming message
Oh, OK. Good stuff! This just might be the beginning of a beautiful friendship... -

So; he (it?) was briefly back and thankfully now gone; I am starting to suspect a dirty insider job on this one...the whole "existence" of him / it.

Hey guys , I didn't know where to put my message so I'll just drop it here ...
I haven't disappeared from the face of the planet as some of you might think because it's been a while since I last posted here . I've been having some health problems for some months now and I still do . After lots of visits to my doctor , specialist and the hospital in general they discovered that I have prostate cancer . In hearing that word my world crumbled around me and I was feeling really down ... Back to the hospital for some additional tests and scans and then again you have to wait , wait and wait for the results ... I hate those long waits , it's like going through hell ! Anyway , the 'good' news is that the cancer's only restricted to my prostate , the rest of my organs aren't affected . Pfff , I can tell you that was a relief ! I'm gonna have surgery in about 2 - 3 weeks time . My dad also had prostate cancer when he was 62 , I'm only 42 - but the doc says it's all in the genes . I'm glad we caught it in an early stage so I should be alright after the surgery . I'm still a bit nervous about the op though ... it's my very first time ... So , sorry I haven't been around much but my mind just wasn't with it ... I'll keep you guys posted on what's happening ...
I hope you're all ok ?

Oh Eric, I'm so sorry for you. I'm glad to hear that they caught it pretty early, but still. Hope you get really better soon. Don't worry about us, everyone's fine

Crikey, mate.
It's the Big Scary One for all of us approaching (or over) 40.
I'm so glad they caught it in this early state. It's -apparently, from what I've read- one of the forms of the Evil C. that is best treatable locally, so I'm keeping good hope and faith.
Here's LOADS of positive vibes from the North, mate!

Really sorry to hear that, Eric. But it's really good you got it detected at an early stage. Now medical equipment is more advanced than ever and I'm sure with proper treatment you'll recover very soon. Good luck, have faith in yourself!
