All I've heard from Stravinsky is The Firebird suite and The Rite of Spring - which I was first introduced to thanks to Disney's wonderful Fantasia 2000. I've heard the complete works (Leonard Bernstein conducting the LSO and NY Phil) and I'm amazed at how influential those two pieces - especially The Rite of Spring - is to film composers. I think they are both stunning works.

It really surprises me that the likes of D and Martijn find Stravinsky so difficult? Anyone who's into the complexities of the likes of Jerry Goldsmith shouldn't have a problem.

Stravinsky, of course, wouldn't know proper music if it bit him on the ass.
The only reason he gained some notoriety is through Disney's Fantasia, where his music was used as ...film music. biggrin
