NP: Fly Away Home - Mark Isham

And wild geese are one of the most awesome birds! punk

    Good choice Miya ... wink

Do you have the expanded version or the regular release ?

Is there any regular release? wink

I have 9-track "promotional album", plus two tracks from complete. I also added 10,000 Miles song from the singer's album.

This is one of my favorites, both score and film. The music and visual of the scene when Amy (the girl) and her geese fly for the first time always give me goosebumps. (No pun intended.)

NP: White Fang (bootleg) - Basil Poledouris & (a bit of ?) Hans Zimmer

Yes!!! My memory was not wrong!

I saw this film as a kid and have remembered the Main Theme. It's often stuck in my head, even after many years passed since I saw the film last time.

But recently I began to wonder whether it really was the theme from White Fang. But just now I downlo... ahem shame , got this album, and as soon as I started listening I recognized the theme! smile

It is very nice music, but I probably prefer Debney's music to White Fang 2. If you ever watch the film, try to listen to the music as well.

I like White Fang main theme very much, but except that this score didn't catch my attention much. But I haven't played it many times yet, so I may change my mind.

Haven't seen/heard the sequel. I'll check it out smile

NP: Lost Season 3 Disk 1 - Michael Giacchino

Edit: Oceans Apart reminds me why I love this music so much. Its great in Season 3, but if I remember correctly, its even better in Season 1.

You have very good memory, as it's not even in season 1! wink

You're probably thinking of Parting Words.

    yeah

I was thinking of Parting Words... I'm getting rusty. The long gap between seasons is making me lose my ability to recognize themes. I'm avoiding this season for now.... want to have a marathon without the week long waits.

    NP:Peacemaker Complete

"Nuclear Foult", "password", " I need more time" , I must Go"....

    beer

I prefer King Arthur (even if its less complex) and POTC3, but for sure I like more than Gladiator and Crimson Tide.

I spent a lot of years thinking why Zimmer left aside this kind of "laments" instead Gerrard Iced Voice.

NP : Revenge of the Ninja - Rob Walsh

My favourite Ninja film of the 80's !
It has a total synth score , but I love it ! punk

Why hasn't Varèse released this on CD yet ?!

"Only a Ninja can stop a Ninja !"
"Simplicity is the key to brilliance"

How easy is it to get the expanded Varese edition of Conan The Barbarian?

The inferior Milan issue is still easy to buy, even in record stores.

NP : RUN WILD RUN FREE - David Whitaker

Absolutely gorgeous score that could do with a full CD release ( there is a French release that has a small selection of this score and some of his other works ), Whitaker, who's been around for a long time, has more talent in his little finger than most of the hacks masquerading as film composers regularly working now.

NP: The Tale Of Despereaux - William Ross

One of the best scores of 2008!
  1. I really want to hear that one. Mark McKenzie orchestrated, no? I LOVE McKenzie's sound. Can't say I've heard anything by Ross before.

Both composers are equally gifted. Nothing to say on McKenzie, the man has an extraordinary gift for melody. Listen to SEPTEMBER DAWN for William Ross.

Top stuff! Sadly it hasn't had an official release but the promo is top notch. One of Debney's finest scores ever!

NP: Lady And The Tramp - Oliver Wallace et al.

Lots of mickey mousing sounds here, of course. But many beautiful melodies as well. I especially love the theme on the first part of What A Day! / Breakfast At Tony's.

Dogs' singing on Home Sweet Home and He's A Tramp is addictive. dog
