Not a big fan of the score. I find it drags a little after a promising start.
If it was a modern score album, with 30 minutes extra material, I'd agree with you. But it seems like it doesn't hang around much longer than it needs to. I agree, it's top- and end-heavy.A butterfly thinks therefore I am -

NP: Mesrine: L'Instinct De Mort - Marco Beltrami & Marcus Trumpp
It's all very moody, but where is it GOING?
Not very enjoyable.
Slightly annoying in its apparent lack of direction, even.
Probably works a lot better in the film (which I haven't seen).'no passion nor excitement here, despite all the notes and musicians' ~ Falkirkbairn -

Switched to a compilation of material from Osvaldo Golijov
Also all VERY moody...but when the Kronos Quartet is in appearance, you pretty much know what to expect.
The mix of the composers east-European Jewish roots with the seemingly inherent sense of desolation of his native Argentina doesn't make for a particularly uplifting experience...

Superbness incarnated. 'Harriet's Theme' is such a beauty.
But is it rare?
I doubt.Love Maintitles. It's full of Wanders. -

Memories of Me - Georges Delerue
Naturally enough, I skipped past all the stuff I hadn't heard and headed straight for the finale and the end title, which I already own. Stunning! -

Pirates Of The Caribbean: At World's End Hans Zimmer and Co.
I usually skip to the excellent last four tracks. Not to be played on small speakers. -

BIG music. Certainly, to be played on speakers. Or headphones. You take your pick. But certainly use one or the other.
(Pity about the pinched sound.) -

Yes. But if you like his Commonwealth music (which I do, more than is humanly possible), then you'll love Rugby World Cup. -

I like the way you put things. Doesn't it all kick up such a grand storm though when they all go gypsy at the end of 'Night of the Flying Horses'?A butterfly thinks therefore I am -

If they ever do rejig Superman to start again, they've got to use Gordon's main theme from those Games as a new Superman theme. I can just see the blue guy soaring through the clouds to that music.A butterfly thinks therefore I am -

Mark McKenzie - Blizzard
Opened the cd only a few days ago after having bought it when it was released. Excellent! McKenzie sounds a lot like Delerue in the emotional stuff-- those oboes and staccato brass! :melt: -

Finished making a tracklist for all the score cues on the Hitchcock Media Records Volume 2 CD of "Knight Rider".
Wish the CD were longer. :-(The views and opinions of Ford A. Thaxton are his own and do not necessarily reflect the ones of ANYONE else. -

Can't say I do either!
Mizzy excelled at comedic scoring.
Gray wrote mostly for dramatic/exciting action shows (which occasionally featured puppets). -

Hmmm, which superhero score to listen to?
Iron Man - Djawadi or Batman : Mask Of The Phantasm - Walker
No brainer there!
Phantasm is pure bliss from start to finish! -

Gorgeous score from a seriously under-appreciated composer. This man should be big by now.
