My computer slowed down to a crawl, yet again. I uninstalled Pando 2010 and restored my computer to a time before I tried to update Norton. Now the speed is somewhat back to normal but part of Norton is still in my computer angry angry angry

I downloaded the Norton removal tool and uninstalled Norton 2003. After I let Microsoft download all of the updates it might just be somewhat back to normal. What a debacle.

Have you backed up your data? It might not be a bad idea to just wipe out everything and do a fresh install of Windows on it. Do you have all the cds and other installed software cds with you?

You could also setup user accounts and use the 'Limited User' account for the day-to-day stuff and avoid anti-virus completely.

Ouch. I know, cold can get very annoying. I got it once during exam time, and the results weren't amusing. tongue

I find taking hot tea/coffee gives quite some relief usually.

Ever since my medication has been adjusted to lower my blood pressure I've been dizzy off and on to the point where I dare not drive or venture too far away from the house. I'm beginning to understand how fine a line it really is.

Tom, you may have to go back and have your meds reviewed. Sounds like the blood pressure tablets could be lowering your blood pressure too much.

Yes only for blood pressure, Bregt. There are many options and much was discussed. The answer for me right now is to give this more time and see if my body will adjust itself to the new medication combination/dosages.

As I understand it, there are several different ways of controlling blood pressure, depending upon the mechanism at the root of the symptom of high blood pressure. The right drug regimen needs to be decided upon. And then there is the dosage to be decided upon on top of this.

My mother began suffering from high blood pressure when she was carrying me - and it's only been the last 5-6 years that the correct dosage of several blood pressure medication has been hit upon. (This is probably a worst case scenario, Tom, and not the norm!)

I've started taking blood pressure medication the last 3-4 months. Low dose, one tablet, and it seems to be doing the trick for me.

The thing that Dr. Sotis and I discussed was how low I could tolerate my bp. Today I seem to be ok.

    Welcome to the North Tom!

I heard that in Edmonton (Alberta, Canada), they broke a record yesterday and it was a staggering minus 47 degrees during the night.
During the day, it is only minus 28. Double Yikes.
