Yeah, I agree. But what I mentioned is the sad truth
People know The Lion King not for Zimmer's amazing score but for Elton John's pop songs. Most of them bought Enchanted for the songs and I bet at least 80% of them skipped the score tracks. And seeing Disney's profit-oriented ways you can see why they include these pop songs a lot.
Anyway I don't care much as long as they don't give the score the kind of treatment they gave to TLK -

Looks good! And seems longer than the first movie's soundtrack.
What makes you say that? There's 1 scoretrack less than on the previous release, so if you draw one conclusion from this information, it would be that it's shorter. However, you can't say anything, of course, untill we see the tracktimes -

Is there? My bad math It looked pretty long to me at first glance. Maybe I counted the songs too. Oh well!
EDIT: Yeah, there are 12 score cues in this one. The previous one had 13. -

Does anyone know if this soundclip I found from a Japanese website is from the new Narnia score? Because I can't speak or read Japanese I'm not sure. The clip can be found here (it's below the tracklisting):

... ah! They better be nice long tracks... chock full of nice long themes and developments ...
Any possibilities on an expanded release of Prince Caspian? At least they might have more of the
score -- (considering the last Special Edition didn't.) -

Unless someone like FSM or Intrada try their hand at it, chances of expanded releases of Disney scores are pretty thin. We're already having the experience with Lion King -

In all honesty, I am really not interested in this.
I thought the first Narnia score was really generic so unless this gets lots of positive reviews I'm probably not going to bother with it. -

You know, Generic or not, I still prefer this type of assignments to the heavy electronic scores that HGW writes these days. -

But HGW is the best "electronic" composer of all time...
The word "action" was written for him...
And what a lot of people call "MV action style" (speaking of The Rock or Armageddon) is in fact HGW's sound... -

HGW's sound is definately a variation of the MV. Similar, but he's got a difference. -

Yeah, the intense drums and bass and the whirling "wiouuuuuwiouuuuu" low electronic bass passes a la all the Tony Scott films' scores.Love Maintitles. It's full of Wanders. -

Right on. I'm anxious to hear the last game score he did... anyone have an update?
a review? -

Which one was it again?Love Maintitles. It's full of Wanders. -

You mean Call of Duty 4? I thought it was clear that Stephen Barton did the bulk of the score with HGW doing a some themes and a major opening cue? I've been listening to the game rip music and it's pretty good. On par with RGW's Battlefield 2 score, crossed with SpyGame, Kingdom of Heaven and a heavy dose of Black Hawk Down. -
- CommentTimeApr 23rd 2008
Yeah, that's pretty good. If you like the usual RC / MV / HGW rides, you'll love that as well. It's VERY HGW-like in sound, every trademarked sound is there.Love Maintitles. It's full of Wanders. -

Yeah I liked the score. HGW did the main theme (possibly the main menu music), and the Coup level (the one where you're the president person who gets shot). He ripped his ''terrorist'' theme from KOH though.

Wow...One of the few scores in the last years with so many lenghly tracks! -
- CommentTimeApr 28th 2008
Good point... though there are not numerous tracks... which led many to believe this was
as short as the previous installment, this looks promising in length...
hopefully it's as good quality as quantity. -
