What's with the electronic drum beats?! dizzy

    My reason: They are cool.

Reason reason: they are pretty much a necessity for anything being marketed primarily towards the younger generation. I mean, they even got PATRICK DOYLE of all people to sort of do that in Eragon.

He uses them very well. HGW has a hand at the mixing -- the live choral with the electro drum is nicely matched. In the first film he used it to bring the slo-mo scenes alive -- to move them along.
    I wonder with PC...
    we'll see.

    Exactly:
    slo-mo = slow motion.
    savvy?
So, I was saying, that the slow motion sequences match very nicely to the electric beat... without
the beat, it would be really, well, slow. It keeps the music (and the film) moving very nicely. You
might wanna check it out to get the context mate.

Haven't seen it but from the rating differance (R vs. PG) I'm sure its a positive no. There is littel
brutal violence. However, it is one of my favorite battle sequencese... you should try Youtube,
they might have a clip to show you the feel.

Was over at MMUK (for a change!), and found a post about the score from the Prince Caspian game. There's 4 clips here, and it's a LOT better than Harry's score:

It sounds okay. If you prefer purely orchestral work. I do like HGW's work for Price Caspian more.

    Like.

    Prince Caspian.

Huge difficulties putting those together in the same sentence.
Love Maintitles. It's full of Wanders.

Sorry mate, you made nothing. Prince Caspian is still generic and uninspired as hell.

Lazy scoring? I dunno, I ain't heard it but if it's just an extension of the first Narnia score then I avoid it because that was generic, lazy scoring.

I don't know, so was Transformers and I personally think that is a very entertaining score. Still, I think I will take everybody's word for it and avoid it just for now.

    O.K. Oklahoma, mate! Great!

I like how the sequel score improved on everything from the first. It's a "denser" and more involved listening experience. You can't hear it and that's perfectly fine with me. wave

It's definitely not HGW's best. That honor still remains with KOH IMO. But it was no way a letdown. It was, as I mentioned, like an extension of his first score with somewhat more thematic development. Personally I enjoyed most of the tracks, and the highlights like "Battle at Aslan's How" and "The Duel" have earned sticky spots in my MP3 player smile

I'm perfectly sane, I think. There's some action music in one of the tracks which reminded me a bit of Jerry Fielding. I never thought I would say that about a former MV man!
