Same here. Count these are essential listens for me, which never go away and are always extremely enjoyable to me:

    MASSIVE ATTACK
    FAITHLESS
    RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE
    THE PRODIGY
    RADIOHEAD
    SOULFLY (Max Cavalera, ex-sepultura)
    MACHINE HEAD
    ANATHEMA
    MY DYING BRIDE
    PARADISE LOST

among others. These are some of the bands i really feel that i'll never stop listening to and liking, no matter what.
Love Maintitles. It's full of Wanders.

Some good ones there. And others I would consider inane.

You do realise that it's only the English that have a good taste in music outside film & classical? tongue wink

You don't get your questions answered either, to my surprise!

Probably I was too belligerent and confrontational in my approach. Maybe I need to revise my general Shock And Awe tactics towards basically everything .
People tell me it's not a good way to get dates either.
    Unless you're dating Klingons.
But then people advise me that the actual mention of Klingons in casual conversation is not a good way to get dates either.

I heard that "gee, you're as pretty as a Klingon on her best day" isn't the best pick-up line either.
    That explains a lot.
