NP:Rambo (Goldsmith)
Oh God....I love the theme for first bloood sequel! it's so damn heroic!
Are you listening to the first movie or Rambo II?
Rambo II doesn't exist. It is Rambo. First Blood part 2
This makes me think Why they called Rambo III or Alien 3. It Actually had to be named Rambo II or Alien 2 (because there is only one Alien, the other one was Aliens )
Okay, so were you listening to Rambo, or First Blood Part 2?
Rambo is first blood part 2.

First blood is no Rambo I. It is first blood.

NP: The Golden Compass ~ Alexandre Desplat
I'm listening to the audio book these days and I remembered the wonderful score Desplat has written for it.
I'm currently playing it now. It's pretty good in spots...it's cool hearing Desplat do action music. -

Two Goldsmith's, sort of...
Legend - Jerry Goldsmith
Beautiful at times but I somehow can't get into it for the full length, Jerry's enchanting touch is of course superb but the synths are so off-putting. But I'm growing to get used to them, so in 10 years time I will most likely love Legend. Strange because otherwise I'm not against Jerry's synthy experimenting, it's just that in Legend it doesn't quite blend with the magical sound that's so delicately crafted.
Stargate SG-1 - Joel Goldsmith & David Arnold
In preparation for the awesome ID4 I wanted to listen to Arnold's first kickass outing, or it's strongest spin-off score for the TV pilot featuring many of the film's stunning themes. The stuff composed by Jerry's son never falls out of tune and I love how it's all combined with David's material. Especially the enemy's music is completely appropriate to stand alongside the legendary battle music of Stargate. And can the end title possibly be more fantastic ? I never fail to rock out on this one."considering I've seen an enormous debate here about The Amazing Spider-Man and the ones who love it, and the ones who hate it, I feel myself obliged to say: TASTE DIFFERS, DEAL WITH IT" - Thomas G. -

Dark, dark ,dark and absolutely wonderful!!!

House of Sand and Fog - James Horner
I watched this last night just to remind myself of why I liked it so much, and sure enough, I found it an absolute masterpiece. And of course, the score is one of Horners's best just for the last 30 minutes alone. Truly an underrated gem... -
