  1. Just added a new review to my blog:

    Tidsrejsen - Flemming Nordkrog

    https://reelmusic.wordpress.com/2015/02 … -nordkrog/

A Christmas tale with a bit of time travel thrown in, this was a Danish TV "event" drama: 24 half-hour episodes that went out on consecutive nights from 1st December through to the 24th December 2014!!

I listened to the audio clips available and got very little out of it. The sound quality for my desktop was awful which has nothing to do with your review which was well done.

Sorry that your sound quality is not up to par. Thanks for taking the time to have a look at the review.

I managed to get a hold of the opening episode of the show so I got a bit of a feel for the music in the programme itself and this helped appreciate things a bit better.

I agree that being able to view an episode plus listening to a 320 file could have made a difference. As reviewers it's so important that we watch the film if at all possible because the end result is a better review.

  3. Added a new review:

Anatomy of A Love Seen - Thom Robson

    https://reelmusic.wordpress.com/2015/02 … om-robson/

A couple of actresses fall in love whilst shooting a love scene, but are called back to re-shoot the love scene after they have had a turbulent split.

I could get little out of this one.

  4. Added a new review:

The Furred Man - Paul Terry

    https://reelmusic.wordpress.com/2015/02 … aul-terry/

A short film where a guy resorts to donning a werewolf costume in order to drum up business for his failing camping site business. But things get out of hand when he finds himself sitting in a police interrogation room, his furry suit caked in dried blood and under suspicion for having carried out a particularly gruesome murder. Great little score from UK-based Paul Terry.

  5. Added a new review:

    Haider - Vishal Bhardwaj

Indian film from 2014, Haider is an adaptation of Shakespear's Hamlet transferred to Kashmir in the mid-1990s. A Bollywood film separate song-only and score-only albums were released. My review is of the score-only version!

Refracted Glory - Bradley Jamrozik & Gabriel Hudelson

    https://reelmusic.wordpress.com/2015/03 … -hudelson/

A feature-length documentary examining the biology and physics of the wonderful hummingbird and its role as an example of the "wonder of God" and intelligent design. (But I just talk about the music.)

Unfortunately, time pressures (frustrating) and quantity of good music (exciting) mean I'll now be announcing Reel Music Award winners on Monday, 25th January rather than Friday, 22nd January. Sorry.

I really enjoy learning what your favorite scores are each year. You always include a bunch of music I've not even heard of, much less heard. And I usually discover several scores as a result that I really like. Looking forward to diving into these scores!
