Yes, this season is ridiculous but at least it feels like we're getting somewhere. From mid-season 2 to the end of season 3 is totally redundant. The more we know simply allows the writers to make more references to things. Episode 3 gets better though (no O6).

I agree. But ask Jordi whatever you wanna know. He almost convinced me yesterday that everything happening has its logic and is all tied up since the beginning of the show. He is a total Lost geek!

Tied up since the beginning of the show?
  1. It certainly feels to me that way, too. I can totaly see this series wrap up satisfyingly.

Yes, I mean I don´t think so, but Jordi almost convinced me the other day.

Oh man, 5.04 is awesome! One of Giacchino's best scores for the show too!

-An awesome version of Kate's theme in the opening scene.
-Charlotte has a theme as well now (actually introduced last episode)
-Another love theme for Kate and Sawyer
    -Rousseau's motif returns!

    WANT.

Thought 5.03 was awful. First three episodes easily the weakest run in the show's history. The part where they started talking Latin was one of the funniest tv moments of 2009 so far though - these writers are fast becoming the kings of accidental comedy.
  3. That Latin thing really got me thinking.

There were those guys in Fringe, who were obviously part of some organisation, and they were talking in Latin, too ...

I quite enjoyed 5.03, but the show has hit a huge dip in quality. The first two episodes were really, really messy.

Strange. Most people around my place just LOVE what they did with the new season. Maybe we have a better understanding of time travel concepts due to being the country that spawned Einstein. wink

The time travel thing is quite neat, but switching from the island to LA, back to the island in a different time period, back to LA, another island thing just makes it feel incredibly messy.
  4. It´s just complex. I find it challenging, and I love it that way.

I can deal with complex - I've accepted the fact that there's no point in trying to follow it - but I wish it wasn't so over the top.
  5. What do you mean, there´s no point in following it? I think it´s part of the fun to participate in that riddle-solving, trying to stay focused and to understand what´s going on. Come on, it´s not that hard.

Aaah, good episode! i'm getting used to the time travel. It clearly is used to tie all (random) events together.

Indeed it is. They are really resolving a lot of things with it while still opening up new plots. Any guesses where that bomb is right now...?

Something to do with the hatch. Faraday says bury it under concrete - Sayid mentioned there were thick concrete walls in the hatch. Desmond turned the fail safe (but I'm not 100% sure what that accomplished) exposing him to high radiation levels. When he was having the flashes during The Constant, Faraday asked him if he had been exposed to high levels of radiation. Must be connected.

Does anyone notices Goldsmith moment in the last episode??

When Sawyer says "to orchid" sounds some kind of Grand Piano that really reminds me to Goldsmith ( Specially L.A Confidential )

    Talking about the show...

I really love how they are desconstructing the narrative. I really enjoy the island jumping in diferent times, the sense of we don't know where we are, and then back to L.A 3 years later trying to come back. Pretty interesting...original.

I'm sure we are not still watching this show if they were still doing flashbacks about the drama of our characters. In the second season became familiar, in the third annoying. Fourth and Fifth season is refreshing.

Actually, in the hatch Sayid is even more specific. He says something along the lines of "the last time anybody used this much concrete to seal something off was Chernobyl" (not correctly quoted, but the the Chernobyl-reference is there).

Ah yes! Even more likely to be it. But now I really do wonder what turning the fail safe actually did...I can hardly see the sky turning purple as the result of a nuclear explosion. confused

I didn't associate it with Goldsmith, but that was a really great cue.

Yeah, that´s what I thought. Or it is a reaction between what the bomb did and what the island does. Maybe the extreme electromagnetic forces on the island somehow reacted with the explosion. Will we ever know?

"Did you know someone's dying this Wednesday? Yes, apparently Lost is losing one more right quick. The ABC announcer man even mentioned it during yesterday's Lakers game, saying, "For the island castaways, their destiny demands sacrifice, and this week, someone will not survive."

Umm...Locke? They've only got about 6 more people and a couple of redshirts left. 90% of the original cast is dead too.

Yeah, I´d say it´s gona be Locke. But, as dumb as I think Locke has become, are they gonna do without Locke for the rest of the season?
