Ah btw, I forgot to ask... Is anyone here a member of the Dharma Initiative? Has anyone completed all the tests and been given a position?

I agree on the point of the overall plan. That certainly as there, since they're clearing out all mysteries one by one, and it all seems to fit the mysteries that have been set up in the first seasons. But the fact that they added quite a bit random information that eventually lead to nothing, (though I liked the Numbers for example) is frustrating.

The Numbers were explained somewhere... Through the Dharma videos. Dunno if they will pop up again to give a more complete idea... I think Lostpedia might have the explanation....

They might not be very good at explaining some things in a few instances, but I think they try to force the viewer find some explanations on his own, instead of having Ben walk up to everyone in the last 2 episodes and say: "Right folks, gather up please! It's time for you to learn the truth about the Numbers, the monster, the Others, Dharma and the island as a whole, as well as what each person's purpose is in this life!"

    Exactly.

But what annoys me is Jack Bauer is now just a muppet, an instrument, a parody of himself in an almost supporting role in the show.

when a terrorist, who killed thousands of persons, goes to home and his girldfriend is upset with him because he didn't go to dinner....It's too much for me. Sorry.

But In a second thought...Your theorie about Michelle and Jack's son is more verosimile (and much more interesting, for sure ) that all the stuff writters gave us all this last 4 seasons. beer

Why wouldn´t she be upset? She has no idea who Dubaku is and what is his agenda. For her, Dubaku is just a boyfriend who is late for dinner. No big deal for me. A standard subplot? Ok, I´ll give you that. But not a reason to give up watching a show IMO.

They should bring Jack Bauer to Lost and mess it up completely. Have Kate fall for him, Bauer will assume the leadership of the Losties, the Dharma and the Others, he will kill Ben, Jacob (even though he can't see him), Widmore, Richard, Horace and Walt (he'd grow up to be a terrorist anw!), sleep with Claire and Sun, give Aaron to his daughter, Kim, so she can baby-sit / mess him up and then blow up the entire island leaving no survivors...

In Lost Season 6, Hurley will be the only one left on a small rock left behind after the island explosion, who will eventually die of starvation... And Aaron will grow up to hate Kim... Like we all do... beer

Yeah, I'm sure a guy who is involved in Political conspiracies, who is in the middle of a great terrorist attack and her face is in the FBI's most wanted people, takes the bus and then he goes to home to dinner with his girldfriend.

Sorry mate, give me Time Travels, at least we know what we are playing.

    But comming back to Lost...

I admire every second of this show and I can give you a couple of reasons.

    a few examples, I rewatched s04e09:

kate gives a razor blade to Jack . So, We know why he has bear after break up with Kate. He associate shave with Kate. It's a sweet detail wich makes you think the writters are people with more than plot twists in mind.

When jack has to be submitted to surgery , Bernard and Rose talk about it is not just bad luck that 1 day before the rescue Jack became sick.
So, Jack is not supposed to save the people, and they are not supposed to leave. but something changed...we don't know this until season 5.

And I can continue in how amazing is when writters show us in s04e09 how Ben's leaves the Island, when this happens in the final seconds of episode 14.
Or the final talk with Widmore....

    Bravo!

I'm sure you don't remember this little details, you are used to hear how a character explain 5 times the same thing to another character.

Almeida explaning the situation to Jack. Buchanan explaining the same situation to jack. Jack expanling the situation to the FBI's girl . Jack explaining the situation to Matobo.Matobo explaining the situation to the President.

We got it, guys!! Move on...and some action!

Yes, and then they shot up the place, Jack stole and destroyed several cars in trying to find the presidents husband and capture Dubaku, there was then one of the biggest shootouts ever in the White House, Bill died, Jack's on the run again, he pulled an Indy and hijacked a big rig truck and he's now (probably) been infected with a bio agent.

With Lost, the characters have "traveled back in time to the 70's - but not all of them have for some reason. They are now members of Dharma and no one has any idea what the hell to do. Go back to the present? Get everyone to the 70s? What?! The show is just idling around aimlessly.

    Get this:

In "Not In Portland" when Kate and Sawyer rescue Carl from Room 23, there's a message playing backward on the video. "Only fools are enslaved by space and time". Anagram for: "Bones of Nadlers may lay lost deep in cave". Aka Rose & Bernard, aka Adam & Eve.

This demands extended discussion! Is the last name of Bernard, Nadler? Also, it makes sense that Rose and Bernard are dead, since they are not Dharma and they are not with the Others.

Btw, what do you people think of "only fools are enslaved by space and time" and "God loves you as he loved Jacob"?

"Only fools are enslaved by space and time" is clearly a reference to this time travel stuff. The Jacob thing is something we haven't found out yet I'm guessing.

The Losties are stuck in the time and place the island has taken them. We know that the Others (excluding ex-Other Juliet) and the dead ones (eg. Charlotte) are "stuck" in present and did not time-shift. So, looking at it from different perspectives, both groups are enslaved by time. Unless the Others can travel in time anw when they wish. Which might explain why Richard does not seem to age... Or how Goodwin's wife came to visit Juliet in the jungle and then disappeared.

But why was Richard surprised when he found out of the Losties traveling in time? Was he surprised because he was wondering of HOW they came to be traveling in time or because THEY (people who did not belong in his group) were traveling in time? And on a similar note: Why is Juliet (an ex-Other) traveling in time with the Losties, whereas Cindy (an ex-Lostie) is not?

Well when Locke walked into the Others camp and Richard met him for the first time, it felt like Guyliner didn't know anything about time travel at this point.

Richard had the same look when he met Sawyer as well, at the Dharma campus. That's what I'm saying though... Maybe he had no idea about time traveling and only found out about it later... Or maybe he couldn't believe that an "outsider" not only knew about this but was also time-traveling...
