27:35 for the accident. Even for 1990 special effoects, it's rather chilling. The views and opinions of Ford A. Thaxton are his own and do not necessarily reflect the ones of ANYONE else. -

I do have to admit though, I did not recognise the music at all. Searching through airplane disaster films from the early 1990s I came across two scored by Mark Snow (upon seeing Snow's name associated with these I reasoned that he fitted the clues) - Miracle Landing and Crash: The Mystery of Flight 1501.
The latter film didn't really fit the clues and the clip of the film I saw didn't have music that fitted either. The views expressed in this post are entirely my own and do not reflect the opinions of maintitles.net, or for that matter, anyone else. http://www.racksandtags.com/falkirkbairn -

I am not knocking these clips but what are you expecting us to recognise? The actual music, the style of the composer? I know that with both yourself and Tom, I am waiting on clues and then acting on those. The views expressed in this post are entirely my own and do not reflect the opinions of maintitles.net, or for that matter, anyone else. http://www.racksandtags.com/falkirkbairn -

Did Tom get it confused with Cat People?
No No No. The Cat People is a different theme. Now the same theme appeared in Curse of the Cat People.

Listened to it, but it rings no bell, Tom.
I really like the Spanish flavour, though!
The castanets played a role in the film in a night club act involving a leopard, thus the title of the film. The Lewton films are a worthy investment.

Mine is from well known TV series (with no soundtrack release), with heavy science fiction elements. The composer did multiple episodes.

The clip was some cues from an episode of the '80's "The Outer Limits".
Episode: "Mary 25" (a well written an enjoyable psychological thriller about a robotic A.I. nanny)
Composer: Joel Goldsmith
Joel did 36 scores for the series.

He also did an excellent militiristic orchestra score for the episode "Dark Rain". MGM has most, if not all the episodes, loaded to YouTube. The views and opinions of Ford A. Thaxton are his own and do not necessarily reflect the ones of ANYONE else. -

Okay, this one is obviously an older score. The genre will likely be quite apparent. The score sounds like it's done with about five percussion instruments, mostly snare drums. I can't give clues to who the composer is, because there's some confusion as to who scored it:

Nah, today is the reveal.
"Stalag 17"
An excellent war film surrounding American prisoners in a Nazi prisoner-of-war camp who seem to have a spy amongst themselves.
Franz Waxman is credited with some odd credit, "Musical Settings", while other surces claim Leonid Raab, who sometimes orchestrated for Waxman, did the score (uncredited). The views and opinions of Ford A. Thaxton are his own and do not necessarily reflect the ones of ANYONE else. -

Welcome. :-)
Next up is a full-bidied sounding orchestra with obvious Horner/Goldsmith/Williams lifts; no doubt you'll be able to spot the "Star Wars: A New Hope" End Credits lift. By a composer likely none of you have ever heard of; I know I hadn't.
Somebody here brought it up recently at another board as a topic of discussion -- that's how I stumbled upon it. So, it's likely one of you guys will be able to identify it. Ths very good sounding score is unreleased.

The film was rescored in the U.S.; overseas it was called "Joey" and had a different, poor synth score that didn'thelp the film at all.
In the U.S., Emmerich's film was rescored by Paul Gilreath and it was titled "Making Contact".The views and opinions of Ford A. Thaxton are his own and do not necessarily reflect the ones of ANYONE else. -
