Young's score for Spider-Man 3 is very good, definitely a favorite.I really hope they release it sometime. So far all they have out is a 'Music from and Inspired By the Motion Picture' soundtrack.

Just wait a little longer, TheTelmarine...
According to UpcomingFilmScores, Young will score "When In Rome", a disney film. The views and opinions of Ford A. Thaxton are his own and do not necessarily reflect the ones of ANYONE else. -

The score was never released, at least only in a song release with 2 young tracks. I think I heard that one a long time ago
There's a 2 CD composer promo that I've yet to hear
I remember it was nice, but what can 2 tracks tell?

Can anyone think of a big name composer who hasn't scored a Disney film?

Well, Deadline Hollywood Daily has reported that both Sam Raimi and Tobey Maguire will return to do Spider-Man 4 (and possibly a fifth film). So if everything pans out, we'll get at least another Young SM score.
... and maybe a score release too.http://unsungfilmscores.blogspot.com/ -- My film/TV/game score review blog -

Quite frankly, I'm done with this franchise. After the disaster which is the third, I don't plan to return. -
- CommentTimeSep 6th 2008
Nah, it was bad, but not bad enough to turn me completely away from the franchise. I´ll certainly see #4, but possibly not in theatres. -

Very, Very, vomitingly bad right from the first one. I agree with Anthony.Love Maintitles. It's full of Wanders. -

Oh, I thought #1 was a nice introduction, with #2 being quite satisfying. -

I enjoyed SM-3, but it absolutely reeked of studio interference. Taking out one villain would've made the film less crowded. The second film was great, considering the first was rather mediocre.http://unsungfilmscores.blogspot.com/ -- My film/TV/game score review blog -

New release by Buysoundtrax (given their shoddy customer service, you might want to wait till it's available at Intrada/SAE)

Something The Lord Made by Chris Young
BUYSOUNDTRAX Records SOMETHING THE LORD MADE. The album features music composed for the 2004 HBO drama written by Peter Silverman and Robert Caswell, directed by television veteran Joseph Sargent and starring Alan Rickman, Mos Def, Kyra Sedgwick, Gabrielle Union, Clayton LeBouef, Charles S. Dutton and Mary Stuart Masterson.
SOMETHING THE LORD MADE tells the story of the extraordinary 34 year relationship between heart surgery pioneers Alfred Blalock and Vivien Thomas and their efforts to treat the devastating heart problem of Tetralogy Of Fallot, also known as Blue Baby Syndrome. Beginning in 1930, in Depression Era Nashville, the two men learn to work together against the backdrop of a country that is still racially segregated. Vivien Thomas is hired by Blalock as an assistant in his lab in Vanderbilt University. Expecting Thomas to merely perform the duties of a janitor, Blalock is impressed by his skills as a mechanic and tool-maker and begins to consult with him on his medical procedures. But when fame and fortune come knocking on the door, will Blalock acknowledge his contributions? -

Heard a track or two and it was very impressive. I think there may have been a suite at Dom's Chris Young site and that's where I heard it. -

Intrada has announced the complete score release of Young's Species, 3000 copies are available but if any of Young's previous scores are any indication, this will sell out.
I haven't thought much of it, judging by the audio samples and review provided on Filmtracks, but Intrada's fuller samples have me changing my tune.
The main theme is wonderful, and it's like the better parts of Hellraiser meets Alien-styled sensibilities. One to own for me.http://unsungfilmscores.blogspot.com/ -- My film/TV/game score review blog -

I recently ended up with an unexpected sealed copy of the In Too Deep: Revisited promo... Anyone familiar with this album? I already have the In Too Deep Varese score. Is there anything extra on this promo worth keeping? I'm trying to decide whether to add it to my collection or sell it while still sealed on eBay.''The mandate, as well as the benefit, of responsibility is the ability to tell when one can afford to be irresponsible.'' - Me
