Koko's getting in us all.
I'm not going to listen to it, but I'm really interested in Drag me to Hell, I hope it is worth itwaaaaaahhhhhhhh!!! Where's my nut? arrrghhhhhhh -

it certainly has some Elfmanisms, but then again, what grand gothic score doesn't? And it also has the Young sound in it. It's good to hear that it does have the epic horror sound I was hoping for!
Also, look in the linked vids on youtube for a filmclip which features the creaked-door sound the 'review' aimed at, and at violin solo. Seems like another very interesting score! -

Be aware that the CD release of Drag Me To Hell has, according to SAE, been pushed back to September.
Unfortunately I had this on order with SAE along with two "Brave" titles from Goldsmith/Williams. Luckily Ed at SAE was very accommodating and deleted the Young title so that the other two would ship when they arrived (soon, I hope).
Another big thumbs up to SAE's customer service! The views expressed in this post are entirely my own and do not reflect the opinions of maintitles.net, or for that matter, anyone else. http://www.racksandtags.com/falkirkbairn -

Really? Why?
I was already wondering about the move to release it some weeks after the theatrical release of the film, but this seems even more odd. Get the hype while it lasts, I'd say, from a commercial viewpoint. It will now be released when the film gets out of theatres again, in the long gap between cinema and DVD. -
- CommentTimeJul 11th 2009
Not sure why. I'd just assumed that it was to coincide with a US DVD release...or they are just delaying it further so that they can cancel the release "in the long gap between cinema and DVD."The views expressed in this post are entirely my own and do not reflect the opinions of maintitles.net, or for that matter, anyone else. http://www.racksandtags.com/falkirkbairn -

Canceling a Young release? A horror score? His forte and bestselling genre?
I dunno.
It seems unlikely?

I will give this a listen, his horror stuff is superb."considering I've seen an enormous debate here about The Amazing Spider-Man and the ones who love it, and the ones who hate it, I feel myself obliged to say: TASTE DIFFERS, DEAL WITH IT" - Thomas G. -

Sure, The Uninvited is very good, but not as good as Bless the Child! If it weren't for Hellraiser, that would be his best horror score! -

I agree. It is sad.
Is there any evidence for listening to and retaining information on the music listened to when asleep? The views expressed in this post are entirely my own and do not reflect the opinions of maintitles.net, or for that matter, anyone else. http://www.racksandtags.com/falkirkbairn -

Blizzard Entertainment (creator of Diablo, StarCraft and WarCraft video game series) revealed earlier that the director of their upcoming WarCraft movie adoption is Sam Raimi. From what I heard it is going to be a war movie set in a fantasy setting with orcs, elves, undead and this kind of stuff. In other words, like some Blizzard Entertainment representative put it some time ago, it is "Braveheart meets Lord of the Rings". Sounds like a very interesting assignment for Young. -

Or Elfman. Or LoDuca. The views and opinions of Ford A. Thaxton are his own and do not necessarily reflect the ones of ANYONE else. -

LoDuca would be an obvious choice, but I think many would like Young, as he is the safer bet

I'd love to see what someone as Silvestri would come up with for a Warcraft film. A more vicious brutal Van Helsing... Yes please.
But Chris Young's no bad choice!"considering I've seen an enormous debate here about The Amazing Spider-Man and the ones who love it, and the ones who hate it, I feel myself obliged to say: TASTE DIFFERS, DEAL WITH IT" - Thomas G. -

Yes, Spider-Man 4 and possibly World of Warcraft.
I definitely want to see Young try his hand more at fantasy, we don't see that side of him often.http://unsungfilmscores.blogspot.com/ -- My film/TV/game score review blog -

He played the main title at Ubeda. I won't describe it here, but it got a standing ovation.
