Celluloid Tunes # 82: The 10 Best Scores of 2023 (ENG)
-
- CommentTimeDec 18th 2014
It mostly has to do with logistics connected to my personal calendar in the coming weeks and months. Otherwise, I would probably have done it in January.
But beyond that, I must admit it's kinda nice to be a bit 'early' for once. Most film lists are being published these days anyway.
Should a spectacular masterpiece arise out of the blue in the coming two weeks, I'll be sure to find some way to highlight it in other ways.I am extremely serious. -

Sorry that the space episode is in Norwegian. But hopefully, you can fastforward to the chosen tracks.
I actually enjoy listening to you talking. Sometimes I understand a word here and there. And the kids guessed the language correctly. It's interesting to listen to.
Erik wrote:
You never know, which is why I never understood the rush to get these lists published before December 31st.
I agree when it comes to the news for instance. Some channels have a year overview in the beginning of december... that's really stupid. For example last year the 'News of 2013' didn't include the news about Mandela, because it happened December 5th. Apparently November is the end of the year then.

Fortunately for me, film writing is my current main job, and I'm part of various organizations that give me access to seeing films and listening to film music. Otherwise, I would never be able to keep up, agreed.I am extremely serious. -

Well done, Thor. I enjoyed the show. I was familiar with a lot of it, but there were two (#7 and #1) that I hadn't heard that I really want to check out after hearing the tracks you posted. -

I was in the concert that Mr. Fenton made with the London Symphony Orchestra in June 2009 (in London), and he conducted a suite of "Interview with the vampire" called "Le Vampire" with the Singer Nicola Emmanuelle. The music was wonderful!! -

Besides, I got a CD with a concert conducted by Nicholas Cleobury with the Royal Philarmonic Orchestra in October 2002 with a suite in 2 parts of the music of "Interview with the vampire". The 1 part is orchestral, and the 2 part is vocal (with the mezzo soprano Alenka Ponjavic. -

I took a bit of a chance on MOUNTAINS OF THE MOON, since I hadn't seen it in ages. I seem to remember them travelling along the mountain range (called Mountains of the Moon in real life) in their search for the source of the Nile, but my memory could be playing tricks on me.I am extremely serious.
