Nah! The 'Spirit' cover still does nothing for me and it's even worse with Bryan Adams mug plastered on it! slant

But yes, 'Perdition' is a superb cover and boy is it a great score too. cool

I've always found this pretty dreary:

    http://www.coverbrowser.com/image/soundtracks/431-1.jpg

And that's why I've always been pretty happy that the boot that came with Cocoon on the same disc has the following art instead:

    http://www.soundtrackcollector.com/imag … e_rose.jpg

And I've always found this one lacking severely in aesthetics. Maybe add a border, different font colours, I dunno... something:

    http://www.soundtrackcollector.com/imag … Nevada.jpg

    Also unattractive:

    http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/images … mp;s=music

And could we have any more text on this one?

    http://i2.iofferphoto.com/img/115916760 … 6441/1.jpg

This, however, is very pretty and artful:

Are you referring to Elfman's "FORBIDDEN ____"?

If so then I agree, that one should be forbidden altogether from even making an appearance on this thread. After all, this thread is labeled "Good, Bad & Ugly", not "scar-children-for-life-and-make-you-doubt-the-existence-of-God-kind-of-repulsive".

It's one of my absolute favourites. These later tracks leave me completely emotionally drained, and those bells in the first half, love 'em! But I remember it being a notoriously unpopular score, even among Horner fans.

That second link... hm, I don't know why it wouldn't work. Works for me...

I remember reading that. "What scores do you regret doing?" And The Name of the Rose was right up there at the top of his list, along with Aliens. 1986 just wasn't a very happy year for him, was it?

But heh, I still love it. Perhaps it helps that I love the movie and book.

And yes, I do think that Don Juan deMarco cover is pretty eye-pleasing.

I think with ALIENS was that he had a tough relationship with James Cameron, check out his view on the ALIENS DVD.

I really like The Name of The Rose but I know it's not to many peoples taste.

Oh, undoubtedly. What with the constant last-minute re-editings. But I also remember reading that 5 minutes into their meeting about Titanic it was all water under the bridge.
