This game has finished!
The next game is running here: http://www.maintitles.net/forum/discuss … res-scores
Coming every week, a new ''Do you know...'' quiz. Kinda like guess the score but more focussed on a specific style of music (in this case, badass action music), simply PM me your score guesses (no need to name the track or composer).
The points system is simple - 1 point per correct score, with the possibility of earning 3 points for the last track as it's played backwards. I'll keep the scores updated at the top of this thread. PM me your answers before Sunday evening as I'll be announcing the winner then.
The final scores are:
Steven - 13/18 points (inc. bonus)
Timme - 9/18 points (inc. bonus)
Marselus - 8/18 points (inc. bonus)
FalkirkBairn - 7/18 points (inc. bonus)
Bregt - 4/18 points
BobdH - 2/18 points
Demetris - 2/18 points

It's safe to say I won't be winning this one! I think I might have identified one of the sixteen clips, but I'm not even sure about that one. -

me too, they are all so similar. Can somebody make for once an easy game?waaaaaahhhhhhhh!!! Where's my nut? arrrghhhhhhh -
- CommentTimeFeb 7th 2008
Are they all from one score? Or one composer? -
- CommentTimeFeb 7th 2008
Oh ow.
Multiple games at the same time.
This will eventually crash and lead to strikes and other manifestations with lots of people.
I still have my secon guess in the other game.
I'll try this one too.Kazoo -

I think I identified at least one clip! -

Wow, I listen to way too much loud music. I'd have thought about 5 or 6 clips were from ''popular'' scores!
Oh well, send your guesses in! -

Clip 9 is another one of those I-want-to-kill-myself clips. God I HATE them! -

Hehe, you'll kick yourself when you realise what it is. -
- CommentTimeFeb 7th 2008
I'm kicking myself already. It's a score I listen to a lot, I even recognised it so well that I went to write down what it was suddenly realising I didn't actually know what to write!? Goddammit! -

Well, the only person with any points so far is Steven, and he's clearly as much of an action buff as I am with 13 out of 18 points! -

Just curious, how difficult are people finding the bonus? -

Personally, I think it's presumptuous - unintentional or not - to set up a second game at the same time. And to describe it as for those 'need more meat'?
And wasn't it Southall's turn next, anyway?A butterfly thinks therefore I am -

The bonus is one of the few that I recognize. (along with 7, 11, and 15) -

Scores so far:
1st Place - Steven - 13/18
2nd Place - Marselus - 5/18 -

You really should have waited till the other game ended (and checked who was next). This is only adding to the confusion. Nevertheless, I will have time to check this out only this weekend. -

All problems and concerns hopefully sorted. Now called "Do you know...", allowing for a new type of music each time! -

I'll keep the scores updated at the top of the page from now on to keep it clearer.
Come up with some suggestions for more ''Do you know...'' quizzes. I think some interesting ideas might be ''Do you know your Media Ventures?'' and ''Do you know your epic themes...played backwards?''. -

Sorry, I think I woke up on the wrong side of bed this morning. Was quite grumpy when I made my earlier post. It took a while to put the train game together, so I've been a little dismayed it hasn't had more players.A butterfly thinks therefore I am -

These games are difficult though! I think there are a lot of people who know a few cues but are reluctant to post their guesses because they've already seen lots of people with higher scores. Next time I think i'll hold off posting the scores until I'm announcing the winner. It may be more successful! -

lol, a film with this much varied action would either be the best or worst film score ever. -
- CommentTimeFeb 8th 2008
I must admit I thought they were all from the same score at first as well. I think I did identify two different composers in the end. -
