Interesting how vastly different one thing is perceived by different individuals. I really thought it was irritating. Anyway.

Even if you didn't like it in the film, doesn't this little tune strike a chord with you?:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vML70Tf8ZpA

It's THE THIRD MAN on acid! punk (yeah, I know, one was zither and this is cembalom, but it's still much of the same feel).
    I am extremely serious.

I think there is too much music in the film. when It works it really helps the movie , but there are a lot of scenes where it is of course irritating. sometimes

The movie is awful, boring and unfunny.

Anyway, the score as heard in the album is great. Specially this 18 minutes masterpiece called "Psycological recovery..."

There's too much music in there, all the time, indeed. It doesn't allow the film to breath and it start-stops abruptly too; it's irritating. On Cd things are a bit better, especially that suite turned into video (which only plays during the end credits of the film as it is) but the rest is careless to me.
Love Maintitles. It's full of Wanders.

I have to admit you can appreciate more than enjoy this album.

The only track I use to play is the 18 minutes track, and like i said I find this one one of the best ever composeds by Zimmer.

I also like the music of Sherlock Holmes. It's much better than his other recent scores. For me it was one of the things that was good in Sherlock Holmes. Without the music the movie would be even more boring and uninteresting.

Empire online just now reports the third trailer for INCEPTION has gone online, and... It features Hans' score! Which, according to them, 'sounds awesome'. Too bad I'm not on my computer right now, so I can't confirm, but here's the link: http://www.empireonline.com/news/story.asp?NID=27823

EDIT: saw it on YouTube, too bad it's a shitty cam version, so I only scanned a few parts for the score. Seems like the weird yet recognizable sound we already heard in the teaser is part of the score! Also; strings and typical sounding trailer music... Might be done just for this. But, as said, shitty quality so can't really say anything about it. Let's hope Warner will release an HD version soon!

I heard the trailer should be officially released on Monday and Tuesday. Though even through that crappy cam version, the film looks awesome I must say!

The new background music in the official site sounds very much like Zimmer to me - http://inceptionmovie.warnerbros.com/

The Horns and the Bell are typically Zimmer. But I don't think this will be the original music from the film.

    the trailer looks fucking awesome!

Wow! That is a nice track on trailer 3! I looked it up. It's original music written specifically for the trailer by a young composer named Zack Hemsey. You can actually get the track, "Mind Heist," for $1 at his page:

I wouldn't mind a whole score in this tone, but I'm sure Zimmer has something different in mind. smile

it sounds really good, but I want the music of the film to be like the trailer music heard in the opening teasers, that was spot on

The soundtrack of Inception is up for pre-order on Amazon, to be released on July 13 - http://www.amazon.com/Soundtrack-Incept … amp;sr=1-3
  2. Looking at the pre-order link it looks like the label is WaterTower Music which, in my experience, is a download label. Does anyone know if this is a download-only or CD-R release?

It's a Zimmer score, there's no reason why they wouldn't press it.

I see that Sherlock Holmes and Clash of The Titans were WaterTower Music releases - and were pressed CDs. So it looks okay for a physical CD.
