Enjoying the program, Erik. Thanks.
Bold claim about "Stealing the Enterprise."
Ha! Yeah... I'd been thinking about it all week so I watch both of my favourite scenes, The Enterprise by Goldsmith and Horner's Stealing The Enterprise back-to-back. Goldsmith's cue got 1 goosebump moment, while Horner's gave me 3 goosebump moments. Horner wins!

THE ENTERPRISE for me is a 6 minute goosebump moment. I'll revisit the Horner piece, easiest done by listening to the show!
EDIT: Giaccino's music is breathtaking and a delight to listen to. What is the source of Nemoy's speach at the beginning?Bach's music is vibrant and inspired. -

EP. 27 | 20th ANNIVERSARY SPECIAL PART I
http://www.cinematicsound.net/ep-27-20t … al-part-i/
On September 21, 2016, CINEMATIC SOUND RADIO officially turned twenty years old.
To celebrate this momentous occasion I’ve decided to produce a two-part program dedicated to my ten favorite scores of all time. I honestly can’t remember the last time I presented a show on this topic but I hope you enjoy these two very personal episodes starting with part one.
On the program, you will hear selections 10 through to 6. You will also hear two recorded messages from my former station managers at C101.5FM. I will also be reading a few messages from listeners who wanted to offer their thoughts on the twentieth anniversary of the show. And CINEMATIC SOUND RADIO composer David Coscina has written a very special 20th Anniversary fanfare, which you will hear off the top of the program.

HALLOWEEN SPECIAL 2016
http://www.cinematicsound.net/ep-28-hal … cial-2016/
Welcome to CINEMATIC SOUND RADIO’s annual Halloween Special. This is one of my favourite shows to produce featuring only music from Halloween themed film, TV and video game scores. This week’s show is a special one as I will be reading for you excerpts from a brand new book called SCORED TO DEATH: CONVERSATIONS WITH SOME OF HORROR’S GREATEST COMPOSERS. In the book, author J. Blake Fichera interviews 14 masters in the horror music genre including director/composer John Carpenter; sound designer/composer Alan Howarth; Italian composers (and members of the band Goblin, known for their scores for Dario Argento films) Claudio Simonetti and Maurizio Guarini; Hollywood composers Christopher Young, Tom Hajdu (of the composing team tomandandy), Charles Bernstein, Jay Chattaway, and Nathan Barr; as well as such other horror notables as Fabio Frizzi, Simon Boswell, Joseph Bishara, and Harry Manfredini.
Purchase book https://www.amazon.com/Scored-Death-Con … 193524714X
On the program today we are going to hear the music from six of those composers including HOSTEL by Nathan Barr, CUJO by Charles Bernstein, THE CONJURING 2 by Joseph Bishara, MANIAC by Jay Chattaway, THE FOG by John Carpenter and SINISTER by Christopher Young.
And please stay tuned right ’til the end of the program as I will be playing a special suite of Halloween music from Sideshow Sound Theatre’s brand new Halloween themed album THEY LANDED ON HALLOWEEN (purchase http://bit.ly/2eNIVqA) composed by William Dodson and Wendell Jones.

http://www.cinematicsound.net/ep-30-20t … l-part-ii/
On September 21, 2016, CINEMATIC SOUND RADIO officially turned twenty years old.
Welcome to part 2 of my two-part countdown of my ten favourite scores of all time. Back in September, I featured my first 5 favourite scores. If you haven’t listened to that program yet then I highly recommend check that program out first before diving into this one.
On the program today, you will hear selections 5 through to 1. Just like our last show, you will hear recorded messages from loyal listeners and I will also read emails from long time and new CINEMATIC SOUND RADIO listeners who wanted to offer their thoughts on the twentieth anniversary of the show. This includes a HILARIOUS audio clip from fellow MainTitle member Martijn van Hasselt Skip to 54:24 to here the clip.
You hear all of that as well as another honorable mention featuring a classic score from a long lost Hollywood legend.
Next week we return to our regular schedule but until then please enjoy this close to three-hour program featuring what I consider to be the greatest scores of all time!

I have done Top 10 shows in the past. The list hasn't changed much. A few scores that have dropped out over the past decade though are Fellowship of the Ring and Mutiny On The Bounty. Signs is the most recent score to sneak in. But the list has been relatively consistent for the last 20 years.

CINEMATIC SOUND RADIO is proud to be the distributor of the second part of Jason Drury’s epic tribute to James Horner. A few months ago Jason premiered the first episode of his radio documentary THE LIFE AND MUSIC OF JAMES HORNER, a brilliant program researched and produced by Jason featuring fascinating insight into one of the world’s great film music composers. It featured exclusive interviews with Nick Redman, Conrad Pope, Chris Malone, Dirk Wickenden, Jeff Bond, Jason Needs, Steve Bramson, Tim Greiving, David Hocquet, and Robert Daniels. I was also interviewed and featured in the first part of the program.
The second of Jason Drury’s three part story on one of the finest composers in movie history continues with an overview of James Horner’s music in the 1990s including selections from THE ROCKETEER, LEGENDS OF THE FALL, CLEAR AND PRESENT DANGER, BRAVEHEART, APOLLO 13, TITANIC and much more.
Contributors include Nick Redman, Conrad Pope, Tim Burden, Steve Bramson, James Semple, Chris Malone, Robert Daniels, Jeff Bond and Erik Woods.
The program also includes excerpts from BAFTA’s interview with James Horner as part of their Conversations With Screen Composers series at the Royal Albert Hall.
THE LIFE AND MUSIC OF JAMES HORNER was narrated by Amanda Barrow and was written, produced, recorded and edited by Jason Drury
Jason Drury would like to thanks to BAFTA, The London Symphony Orchestra, Robert Daniels and Erik Woods for all of their support.
