Damnit....I could have climbed a bit if I'd had the time to do some research, but as it stands now, I'll have to let this one pass with my first guess. At least I'm stuck in the middle, like my favourite team Tottenham! smile
    I am extremely serious.
  3. Since I have woken to find my kingdom usurped, my riches divided amongst the rabble, I will be submitting more guesses in the next hour. biggrin

I just sent 10 more guesses, I think 7-9 of them are correct, so start biting those fingernails.

OMG! I ruled out Last Valley because the clue said it was new territory and he had already done Lion in Winter. I'm mad at not getting #7-- I did check samples of How the West was Won but for another cue shame

Excellent game Southall! And congrats to Michael, Peter (forget franz, you are the real dawg wink punk ) and a whole lot of others.

One request... could we restrict the future games to about 15-20 clips? Anything over 20 seems too long.
  4. I'm sure if Bhel had had a week to think about it like me, he would have beaten me for sure.

I can prep a game for next week, but I won't be able to get the new clips up until then. Anyone have a game on standby for this week?

Sorry if I misled you! I was thinking Last Valley is a real historical action "epic" whereas Lion in Winter was a very serious drama (and a magnificent one). However, I now realise that I guess Zulu was also an historical action "epic".

Your point about the number of clips is noted.

I could put up something simple (no theme, but random gems) tonight if no one has anything ready as yet. Should I?
  5. I'm all for it. I don't whether Anthony and Tommy have got a queue going or anything, but usually they'd have said something by now if it were so.

I will take on board your point about the number of clips next week. 20 it will be.

I'm well chuffed with 28 points....all in one go, I didn't even try to get more.

Looking at the 'hints' and a few more listens I would have got quite a few more points but not enough to challenge the top two.

  6. I have a 20-clip set ready for sending to Bregt tomorrow - if no-one else has supplied a set.

Shoot! I really should have gotten no. 18 (Newman's Avalon) as well.
It was so familiar, but I just couldn't place it.

Not too displeased with the rest of my results, though.
Good game, James! I thoroughly enjoyed it! punk
