I remember getting the album when it first came out in 1969, liking the trombone solo so much in "The Aftermath of Love" that I learned it in a day.

Some of the Bullitt material is different from what is out in the marketplace so there are actually three recordings you might want if you're into all of the material. The FSM takes care of two of them plus the 2000 Aleph (018) recording which is a re-recording.

    Ohhhh...poop.
I didn't reckon with anything like that happening. sad

    I do hope it's his avant-garde action material that I don't need.
No, that's not what I'm hoping.
    I'm hoping for more money.

As far as I can remember the majority of his good material was released on his Aleph label. I have the GNP Mission Impossible material plus the two LP's on Dot. I'm sure we'll all find out soon enough.

  4. They said at FSM it's not a "Set", but five CDs. So I guess individually packaged. Weird to announce five seperate releases so early. I wonder if we can expect "Joe Kidd", or his rejected score to "The Reivers".

  5. Did Schifrin do anything in addition to the theme for Starsky and Hutch?

He, as you well know Alan, did two title themes for S & H, I don't know if he contributed scores to any episodes though.

Can't you simply not buy it? If i don't have the money for something, especially for CD's, the "need" is instantly killed over logic.

I don't think I'll have much choice. slant But believe me, if this was a 5 CD set of unreleased Barry scores I would be out mugging grannies.
