Enough....ahahaha..I have enough. It was beer for 20 minutes...

    NP:Four Feathers (horner)

The combination of BHD with Horner is a Winner here. It's a more agressive Horner, but with his tender use of the orchestra without being too sacharine. ( attention to the love theme).

In my opinion it's one of his best in the last 10 years, and with beyond borders aside, the best score of that year.

I love this agressive action track with ethnic vocals and percussion...it's nothing Horner has ever composed.

You are going to say Im crazy, but I prefer Troy and The Four Feathers over Braveheart or Legend of the fall. shame

NP : MOONRAKER - John Barry

Far from greatest Bond score but it does contain the magnificent Flight Into Space cue, big, Herrmannesque plus choir.....wonderful cool

No, just more action writing that's been cloned. 1:42 - No Rules of Engagement, and :46 - Clutch Then Shift for example.

I love this score by Silvestri even though it is quite repetitive.
The entire album is excellent as well. punk

Tyler's Rambo has one of the most noticiable themes in the last Tyler scores. it's not memorable, but at least he tried to make a theme.

Anyway, How Im a fan of tribal or Exotic music, this score works a little bit with me.

    Partition

it seems I'm in Indian mood today. How the Danna's scores are too authentical, I prefer a most balanced style with the composer's voice.

Interesting Hear "the Zorro" theme in Bombai tongue
  2. Oh I was playing that yesterday Timmer, I just love it.

    NP: THE EXPRESS...Mark Isham
This was quite a change from Sibelius. A new score and so far it falls into that common category of generic predictable landscape music.

  3. NP: Three Choral Suites: Ben-Hur / Quo Vadis / King of Kings - Miklos Rozsa

Discovered this through my brother. My first experience with Rozsa and it is right up my alley: big and thematic, just how I like it. I would've never known 'old stuff' can sound so good... I've gone ahead and ordered the El Cid set after testing it out, thanks to Martijn. beer

I guess I should have at least something from that period in my collection, why not something humongous like El Cid. The fantastic performances sealed the deal for me... punk
