- Comment Just got a Spotify notification that the new Varese Back to the Future III album is up so I took a listen. Lots of fun, this score. The train cues are especially very exciting.

- Comment When I'm in a bad place mentally, I put on Mozart. Spotify makes this very easy. I'm currently listening to a "50 best of" compilation right now. While the first ten or so pieces are basically his greatest hits (slow movement of Clarinet Concerto, Eine Kleine Nachtmusik first movement, ...

- Comment While I deeply admire Bear, I kinda feel at this point that he's basically regurgitating material he's already written. I'm not sure if he's just overworked or has simply hit a stylistic plateau for the time being but I've been disappointed in his last few major releases. (I think what he really ...

- Comment I watched Tomorrowland. The film is pretty entertaining (if not terribly ambitious) for its first 2/3s but fails to deliver a satisfying climax. Disappointing, in the end. Giacchino's score is spectacular and salvages entire scenes.
