- Comment NP: Hero - Tan Dun Beautiful music for a beautiful film. Very powerful. What has Tan Dun done since Hero? I've only ever heard Crouching Tiger and Hero.

- Comment NP: Porco Rosso - Joe Hisaishi Some very nice music hidden within here. I am especially liking the piano/more romantic music. I don't listen to it often, but for some reason I am enjoying it a lot more this time around.

- Comment NP: X-Men 3: The Last Stand - John Powell The Dark Phoenix theme is absolutely amazing. I don't listen to this score often anymore, but when I do, that theme just stands out brilliantly.

- Comment The problem is that studios are becoming so paranoid about the films' box office income, that creative freedom is limited. I guess the new trick is to find a balance behind creativity and what is forced upon you.

- Comment NP: Fantastic Mr. Fox - Additional Music Itunes Release First listen. I really enjoy its quirkiness. Especially the train theme and the surprisingly mystical music for the wolf. And I love the Ennio Morricone references.

- Comment NP: United 93 - John Powell The score builds up to one of the most powerful climaxes that I have ever heard with "The End." Truly haunting knowing the context of the music.

- Comment NP: Surf's Up - Mychael Dana I really enjoy the serious main theme. Dana put much more intensity into it than many other composers would have for an animated movie about surfing penguins. The mock-surf music is less interesting, but overall a short, but very nice score.

- Comment NP: Spirited Away - Joe Hisaishi I love the themes, piano, bitter-sweetness, etc. The fact that Joe Hisaishi is [big]consistently [/big] able to compose such impressive work makes him, in my opinion, of the most talented composers of modern times.
