- Comment [big]Gareth Coker - Ori and the Will of the Wisps[/big] One of the very best scores of last year. The album is three friggin' hours long, but if there is a hour-long playlist somewhere, Thor should hear it!

- Comment [big]Christopher Young - Shipping News[/big] Young's a weird case on Spotify as he has two author accounts. Sadly Murder in the First is gone, so I picked a drama score that I do like a bit. Yesterday was my first listen to the first Hellraiser. Hellbound is not safe for work, ...

- Comment Fantastic. You listen to a lot of more obscure scores which may escape the radar and giving "accessibility" information would help getting them across more.

- Comment I was inoculated (first dose) with the AstraZeneca vaccine myself. And I know quite a few skeptics, some of whom are very rabid and that includes the composer Bartosz Chajdecki. I know he's got a lot of love on message boards, I'll out him as an anti-vaxxer gladly.

- Comment Oh, that's true. It was very specific to a single app. I am not sure if later Winamp and other players like that didn't include the format, but originally it was for a specific application and I never knew why Clemmensn got the idea to use it.

- Comment [big]Hans Zimmer - Drop Zone[/big] I've been listening to the original album where the programming itself may have some issues based on the film I rewatched recently. It's not a score without its problems, which can be pretty much summarized with a one of the album's track titles: ...

- Comment After starting with film music, I quickly started looking stuff up, mostly the name Hans Zimmer. It's funny in retrospect that his name caught my eye as he is second on the credits in The Rock. It took me two years to find out at home that it was The Lion King that was my first soundtrack, though ...

- Comment Let's do it indeed chronologically, but let's say that in my case that'd be easier as having a film music festival, a major one, in my country, makes things a tad easier. - Comment It's fascinating how he grew the Tony Scott collaboration into more and more sparse arrangements. This is pretty much full orchestra and choir. Man on Fire has strings and brass only (there are some French horns in that score), then it's just strings. I know he gets a lot of flak for the ...

- Comment I do wonder where's Volker (Captain Future). I'll be writing Edmund about the next meetups whenever they crop up as I he wants to attend, but forgets. Don't expect Michael (franz_conrad) much as the time difference might not be the best for him (he's in Australia). Would love to have him, though.

- Comment [big]James Newton Howard - Dinosaur[/big] Great score, one of his very best and very mature for a "kiddie" film, which this Disney production was. Some of the music is downright serious and scary in a very dissonant and even abrasive way. That actually very much adds to why ...
