- Comment I have yet to find a bad show on Apple TV. Given how cheap it is, the return value is immense. They have a short watchlist, but there is such great stuff on it.

- Comment I agree on the S3 overboarding of nostalgia, but as I said, they gave us three seasons of nostalgia content in one, and I think I'll accept it as a reward for staying with them, but I couldn't really enjoy it because I expected them to drop the ball again any moment, which they didn't, eventually. ...

- Comment Strange New Worlds is excellent as a reinvention of the classic and original concept. Lower Decks is amazing once you get used to the insane dialogue speed. Prodigy was a great introduction to Trek concepts for kids. Picard was hit and miss in seasons 1+2. I don't mind S3's nostalgia. We've ...

- Comment Having 30°C for a whole week is not what I consider nice... I prefer colder temperatures. Overall, the summer here was already too warm, even with all the rain and stuff. I don't need another heatwave.

- Comment I'm looking forward to it very much. There were quite a few stunning performances, including a great rendition of Holst's "Jupiter". Plus, a new Coronation March by Patrick Doyle. There's a lot of interesting stuff in there.

- Comment Goldsmith's Star Trek Theme is okay in its Main Title form, but becomes pure magic when it's changed to a waltz in The Enterprise and other, similar scenes. It is a waltz, right? It's the perfect presentation for her queen, the one and only 1701 refit. ^^

- Comment What a great series of posts. It reminds me about how much material there is I never really got around to give a proper listening, too. Of those you mentioned, The 13th Warrior, Rudy, and The Blue Max are among the most beloved by myself, though for completele different reasons. The ...

- Comment To be honest, I find this approach refreshing. Instead of using the famous cues for everything - as if we needed a reminder who those characters are - we are given the option to enjoy this as the completely new story, the new aspect of it, that it is. Some stories rely too much on that nostalgia, ...

- Comment I've never listened to the full score of The Wind and the Lion, but Lionheart is one of my absolute favourites. When it came out I couldn't stop listening to it for months. Because of his friendship to the director, Goldsmith created a masterpiece of a score with enough thematic ...

- Comment OBI-WAN KENOBI - Theme by John Williams I wasn't convinced at first, but hell did that one grew on me watching the first two episodes. The score itself is done by Natalie Holt (Loki) using her own style, which is freakishly different from the usual SW treatment, but it's very effective in ...

- Comment NP: SAVE THE CITY from HAWKEYE (Marc Shaiman) I never thought I'd say this about a Marvel musical number, but man, this is an incredible power boost. If it helps just one Marvel fan to get through a hard day, it's been worth it. My bet is it will be thousands, on a thousand days. Well done!

- Comment Nice review. I certainly agree in most aspects. I too was disappointed by Goldsmith's absence, but I warmed up rather quickly to Horner's score, which may have a lot to do with the fact that the movie impressed me very much back then. Thanks for sharing!

- Comment NP: Servant - Season 2 (Trevor Gureckis) Certainly nothing to listen to for TeaTime, but absolutely PERFECT as background music for any horror-themed P&P RPG games. And it works very well for this spectacularly ignored TV show.

- Comment It's a good Bond score. Not sure what else I've expected, but I thought maybe he'd go a little more nuts with it. David Arnold's Bond scores - especially The World Is Not Enough - are still my favourites. His action stuff just grabs your ears and doesn't let go until you're a wasted mess.

- Comment Well, it's one of those Marvel movies that are a little bit less like a Marvel movie and and a bit more like something on their own. It feels like a weirdly fun mix of Doctor Strange, Hero, and Narnia, with some fantastic modern day fighting sequences thrown in.
