- discussion topic ALEXANDRE DESPLAT
- Comment In response to William's request for recommendations: Having absorbed just about every Desplat score released in the last half-dozen years or so, I still haven't come across one that I didn't like; I think he brings both palatable emotion and intellectual prowess to the table. But like every film ...

- discussion topic PR: SOCOM 4 Limited Edition set (Bear McCreary)
- Comment Is it as repetitive with regard to the main theme as the clips seem to indicate? Just listening to the iTunes clips, the only obvious tune I could pick out was the primary one, and it shows up a lot. Hard to imagine that not being a little frustrating over the course of 2 CDs. Then again, Dark Void ...

- Comment lol, Erik! Well it's only a brief sample of the score, so we'll see. I must say, though, I like what I'm hearing so far even if it's a Lost cousin. It's good to hear Giacchino's voice again; I just hope he's coming back a bit fresher! I'm of the opinion that his perhaps overwhelming workload ...

I just acquired D-Tox a day or two ago, so I haven't listened to the whole thing yet; but yeah, so far I would agree that it's nothing special. I'm a bit of a Powell collector though, so unless it's ...

- Comment Does anyone have cover art for Mark Isham's Fly Away Home? I've seen the low-res one that shows up all over the web, but I'm hoping to find something with a higher resolution (and, hopefully, something with a better application of fonts!). - Comment While we're speaking of Julie & Julia, here's my two cents: I love it! Good themes (three of them!), detailed and creative orchestrations (I expected nothing less from Desplat), plenty of variety, and oodles of charm. I've had a hard time listening to anything else over the last few days.
