Well, need to readjust my brain as I'm soon off for another Christmas party -- this time with my colleagues in montages.no. Hopefully, there will be some girls there too to ease my slight disappointment in the mediocre date on Thursday. What is better to ease troubled love than sex, drugs and rock'n'roll?
Porn, alcohol and film music?
Bach's music is vibrant and inspired. -

I think I just found the title for my autobiography. -

Doesn't anyone else have plans for tonight?I am extremely serious. -
- CommentTimeDec 13th 2014
Nope.
Just had some rather painful surgery and I'm taking it veeeeeery easy with some takeway Indonesian food and maybe series 2 of Rake.
That said, I have tickets for a theater show next Wednesday that looks VERY interesting: it's basically a live animation film.
Hope I can make it.'no passion nor excitement here, despite all the notes and musicians' ~ Falkirkbairn -

You had what? I hope all is well?
I'm taking it easy too. I just made some hot fruite tea with hawthorne liqueur.Bach's music is vibrant and inspired. -

One can only imagine the sort of mug you might use to drink it from. -

It's precisely this mug. The text is by Goethe.Bach's music is vibrant and inspired. -

Well, it was certainly a mad evening last night. At one point, I fell over and broke my glasses.I am extremely serious. -

Well, that certainly broke the eyes, I assume.'no passion nor excitement here, despite all the notes and musicians' ~ Falkirkbairn -

Fortunately not. But I was practically blind the rest of the night. I made out with a college girl at some point, but I have no idea how she looked!I am extremely serious. -

Another Christmas party tonight, and since it's with old friends (with emphasis on old and settled), I don't expect the madness of last weekend -- with broken glasses and making out with girls etc. Most likely, I'll return home and write nonsense on the board instead.
I'm still waiting for your party reports, guys!I am extremely serious. -

COME ON!
Amuse me, loafs!I am extremely serious. -

I had some glogg / Glühwein, I am listening to PREDATOR 2, the storm is rattling the stutters ... my kind of party!
VolkerBach's music is vibrant and inspired. -

Gløgg is excellent! At least if you put red wine in or some similar booze.I am extremely serious. -
- CommentTimeDec 20th 2014
I make my glogg from scratch:
- red wine (Merlot) 1 l
- high quality cherry juice 0,2l
- orange juice, 0,2 l
- cognac, 0,1 l
- two "teabags" of Glühwein spices.
Bach's music is vibrant and inspired. -
- CommentTimeDec 20th 2014
Wow, that sounds brilliant. I'm not sure if there are any traditional differences between the German Glühwein and the Norwegian Gløgg, however.
I wonder if any other countries have this particular "Christmas specialty".I am extremely serious. -

And one tablespoon of sugar.
I don't like the Glühwein to be too sweet, which is one reason I make him myself. Due to the heating most of the alcohol becomes the angel's share, which is fine with me. Of course you can add the Cognag after the heating.Bach's music is vibrant and inspired. -

Yeah, that last option sounds more up my alley. I need the alcohol. I tasted some kind of similar drink a couple of weeks ago that used vodka instead. Didn't really taste like Christmas at all.I am extremely serious. -

You need something like this:

I'm about to get my glögg on. Fresh spices and a good, heady Italian wine make a LOT of difference I found!
After that, I'm thinking about giving eggnog a whirl.

I think it's a brilliant word, by the way. Glögg. It sounds EXACTLY like downing the glass in one go.
Glögg.
I could just say that all day long.
