    - The Lion King ("Circle Of Life")
    - Aladdin ("Arabian Nights)
    - LOTR: The Two Towers (I love the whole "Glamdring" montage)
    - Spiderman 2
    - Hocus Pocus (Debney's music)

    Totally agree!

Superman The Movie has the most stunning opening credit sequence that still stands up today!

    punk HELL YES punk

The opening of Terminator 2 is another stunning one. The whole buildup to and the credits sequence is fantastic.

And what about Alien? Atmosphere is set from the moment you hear that ominous music and those letters forming on the screen. That always gets my stomach in a twist.

And Titanic, with the haunting solo vocal and archival-like footage. Heart-wrenching.

The Matrix films, I love those openings.

  3. Off the top of my head:

    "Conan"
    "Rudy"
    "Superman 1"
    "Capricorn One"
    "The Thorn Birds"
    "Star Trek" (1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 8, & 9)
"The Prophecy" (David Williams; on his play box at his MySpace page)
"Something Wicked This Way Comes" (Horner)

    Not Trek 3 Justin?

  4. To me, it's just a re-hash of Trek 2, with some new bits inserted in, and the whole thing is a bit un-flowing because of that. I didn't care for it.

I'd take McCarthy's dark, quite cue from "Generations" over it.

Okay. I totally disagree. Trek III is an extension of Trek II rather than a re-hash, it's more part I & II of the same film.

And I LOVE the opening titles in III.

I'm sure we've had this topic before? Or was it on the other site?

Anyway, anything by Saul Bass (with Walk On The Wild Side as a personal favourite) on third.
    Supes at second.

And, jeez, what else? The Star Wars logo exploding on screen with the full force of a fortississimo orchestra behind it quite unassailabe at no. 1.

(Oh, and an honourable mention to any of the the Pink Panther intros, which always make me very happy!)

Can anyone find a copy of the opening song for YOU ONLY LIVE TWICE?

It's my all time favourite Bond credits sequence and I just can't find the original on youtube slant
