I'm sure that it'a all just a combination of fancy camera lenses and people whose height is below-average.
No cow can be THAT big!!
Well, it looks taken with a wide angle lens.
Apparantly it stands 6ft 6inches at the shoulder, it's in Chard in Somerset just down the road a bit from Bristol so we could always go check it out?!On Friday I ate a lot of dust and appeared orange near the end of the day ~ Bregt -

Ok, may not be science, but it feels like it should go here..
..there's something very Indiana-Jones-ish about the whole thing! -

Yeah, saw it as well toda.
I found it quite creepy and very surreal at the same time.
Would it be the first time for them to see a helicopter?

Yeah, but also consider that they've NEVER had contact with the outside world. EVERYTHING would be alien to them... -

Cool. I've always been fascinated by this, i.e. people living as they did centuries, nay MILLENIA ago without the knowledge of ANYTHING in our "civilized" world.
When I visited the Amazon two years ago, I met a tribe that was TOO "civilized". The huts had huge TV antennas and they turned one of them into a "disco" for us one night, playing on a cheap Casio keyboard!I am extremely serious. -

Did they wear 80s hairdos and 70s bell bottoms too? Let's not start this one again!
70s music rules!
Speaking of science, I've been reading a book about the company Monsanto. Now that is pushing science to another level:
Here's a trailer of the documentary from the same writer that just came out:

Wow. Hopefully the doctor's treatment can help that poor man. -
- CommentTimeJun 1st 2008
Indeed, poor man. One is horrified at first, then one is fascinated, then one feels nauseous because it's so incredibly gross and lastly one starts feeling guilty for harbouring those thoughts considering that it's another human being who is suffering.
Being a biology student I do find it very fascinating though, and am curious how exactly the virus caused those weird effects. Will have to search for more info, the article doesn't reveal much.
