Alejandro Innaritu is looking into a new adaptation of THE JUNGLE BOOK. Does that mean a JUNGLE BOOK score by Santaolalla? It's a tantalizing idea!
    I am extremely serious.
  2. My review of THE BOOK OF LIFE, for anyone who's interested:

  3. Hey, nice to hear some praise for a Santaolalla score. I'll have to check it out.

It's a very pleasant score. Not demanding or complex but nice. Gustavo is clearly learning new tricks!

  4. It's the year of formerly unpopular composers turning out decent-but-not-amazing scores and getting praised over the moon for it, apparently - first Bates' Guardians of the Galaxy and now this. tongue
  5. ^Guardians: Most reviewers seem to have settled on a *** rating and I agree with that.
Bach's music is vibrant and inspired.
  6. Yeah, I guess I don't mean "over the moon". But an average score from Tyler Bates obviously gets much better responses than an average score from, say, Silvestri.
