I just realised I bought a return train ticket today, even though I'm not getting the train home. slant

Oh well, it's only a 40p difference, and I've managed to rip off the vending machine today anyway, so I guess we're even. biggrin

I just broke my damn keyboard. The little feet on the back of it I always had up to make it higher. One's been wobbly for a while and it's finally snapped off today. Hopefully I can glue it back on. slant

My hubby blew up the car... sort of. That means tonight I have to go to work with an unfamiliar car without navigation. I just went to the supermarket with it, felt like my first driving lesson! (petrol instead of diesel as well)
So I'm a bit nervous for tonight... but I'm sure I'll get there. Hopefully in time.
    sad

The temporary car is a nice one though: VW Toeran. smile
But I'm not too good without navigation!!

I'm sure it must have looked that way on the highway with all the smoke! biggrin

No, he blew up the turbo (?)... This is how he told me (I wasn't there!):
Something felt wrong on the highway, and the car was slowing down, he couldn't make it to a parking so he went to the side. There was a lot of smoke so he shut the engine off as fast as he could, took his phone and papers with him and got out of the car really immediately. Then the rev counter went full speed (after he turned the engine off!) and apparently that's when he blew the engine up as well. The guy from the garage said he blew the turbo up apparently and if that happens you should never turn the engine off. Fire truck was there and everything. Man, I'm glad that didn't happen when I was driving!!

Beats me Robinson? I guess there must be a market otherwise they wouldn't get made?

Personally I can't stand the majority of them, it's just cheap and tacky TV.

    christmas_drunk Aye down't geddid? slant

    wink

Of the day's annoyances, this: that otherwise perfectly reasonable and cognitively capable adults, some approaching their fifth decade in this life, STILL persist in inane semi text message conveyance of their disorganised thoughts in several media -forum posts, e-mail, facebook messages- where this is utterly uncalled for, or indeed even greatly grating upon mine most keenly developed sense of grammatical and communicative competencies.

    You know:
    LOL, u suk.

    God! angry
I wish these people a hell where they will be forced to talk and listen solely to types like Coleridge, Byron and Julius Caesar.

And yet another annoyance: now there's not so much pain in my left ear as there IS a VERY LOUD peeping whistle, which is spoiling all the music I'm trying to listen to! cry
