    One of my favorite composers!

I noticed they're done filming Anonyma - Eine Frau in Berlin, so perhaps he's already writing something. Interesting! Too bad he hasn't scored much lately....

I think so, unless you count "Silence, Night & Dreams" which technically isn't a score but it might as well be. And utterly gorgeous.
I love you all. Never change. Well, unless you want to!

There are some good moments in it but the vocals are TOO much for me.

    Yes, The Beautiful Country is his latest. Since then he's written music for a Swedish, Dutch, French and German film, which all weren't released. I would die for a score release from Sportman van de Eeuw. In case some haven't read my large article on this score, you can read here;

You mean unofficially? I don't know for most of them. There's always an oppertuniy to make a nice dvd rip.

Well sometimes it's just the end titles that can be ripped without any sfx, but it's something at least.

My order is on the way. I ordered "Anonyma" last week - as soon as I have seen it coming... The samples are just amazing, I hope, the rest is the same, as always from Mr Preisner smile

P.S.: This CD comes in a Super-Jewelcase with rounded corners.

Yeah, the samples are just beautiful. I am trying to locate some extra money for it wink It's been long since i last heard Preisner in such an emotional musical trip, especially after the not-to-my-tastes-at-all Silence, Night and Dreams.

Ha! It's just arrived! It's allready playing: subtle piano in Prelude, a little russian woman voice in second track, in 3rd strings are added: typical Preisner, just stunning... Fifth track is the cue I was waiting for a long time... Amazing! Piano and strings with beautiful music with passion, variation for harp at the end... This music just flow... "The Triumphant Hordes" brings another great, powerful thema on piano and strings in the background. It's up and down... In 9th track come back the rearranged main theme. Great hammond organ on track 12 preparing for another main theme return. I'm not enough of this theme and I have my prize very soon... Beautiful love theme for piano. Incredible vocalise in "Catharsis". Another main theme reprise... Just love it...

Sorry for this simple review, but that were only my thoughts, I'm not a regular reviewer wink
I can't be objective, I was waiting too long for another Preisner's soundtrack...
First time listening, next listening will be better... punk

  1. Kackzmerek was originally on that score, as I recall.

That his scores have become tiresome in terms of perfect quality. Maybe he should write a really bad score instead, to brake the chain...

Cool, thanks! I found it for a decent price at Grooves-Inc.com
Two copies of the score came under $40 (and free shipping!)

Can't wait to listen to the full score!

I have Bleu, and Blanc will be in my upcoming CD order. Those are the only two Preisner scores on my plate at the moment. I'd like to explore more of him.

But here's the real question: does anyone know how to pronounce the devil's name?!???

    Ahhh, like Cruella. Groovy.

Funny, I never would've imagined that with a spelling such as "Zbigniew".
