    I wish some dog owners had better manners. I hate dog shit and I hate dogs who chase me and bite me because they are unleashed. I hate dog owners who laugh instead of apologize when their dog chases me and jumps me.

    I know what you mean, Bregje! There are some - or rather, I should say many - dog owners who have really bad manners. My family and I always bring (many) vinyl bags to pick up my dog's poops, and a bottle of water to flush urine away when she pees on concrete roads without soils.

    And then we encounter other dogs' poops... a lot of... here and there... make me angry. crazy

    We also never release my dog outside our house, because we know that she's not always friendly to other dogs and other people. (She's really picky about her friends, whether dogs or humans. Though it's not an unusual character for Japanese breeds, my dog seems to be worse than others. I know we should have trained her better...) But sometimes we encounter unleashed dogs whom their owners think "friendly". What I have to do is only running away from them, because I'm afraid of my dog hurts them and they blame us...

    Very true Steven. A girl I once went out with had a lovely big mongrel called Zak and it was very reassuring knowing she was accompanied with protection anytime she was walking at night to or from my place.
