Is it?
As for myself, I greatly prefer shooting up on port before sitting down to listen to the latest 3D porn movie soundtrack...'no passion nor excitement here, despite all the notes and musicians' ~ Falkirkbairn -

First, allow me to get my coat.
I think I was trying to be funny but seeing it now it's just nothing and very lame.

I do.
It's the only thing I've been keeping up for years, because I enjoy doing it while I'm doing it. No other 'sport' has ever done that to me, except dancing.
I lost my back problems, meaning that my back muscles are stronger and also many other muscles of course. After yoga I feel as if I had a full body massage.
It's also great for stress, both stressed muscles and hyperventilation and other breathing problems. -

Ran 4km again today. Last week about 2 times.
Odd thing is that I have a bit of a pain in the front of the lower leg sometimes. It goes over quick, but it's rather annoying. I slow down and then it gets better. Is this just because I need to get used to it?Kazoo -

It's an area I'm not familiar with but I do know good running shoes are essential, particularly if you're pounding the concrete.
Perhaps Anthony could advise you better? On Friday I ate a lot of dust and appeared orange near the end of the day ~ Bregt -

Are you stretching before and after you run?
Also try new shoes. For ages I had a sharp pain in my knee after only about a hundred meters and I thought something was seriously wrong. Turned out my shoes had completely worn out and a new pair solved the problem immediately.
Lastly you might just be running too fast. If the pain goes away when you slow down, your body may simply not be used to the speed you are going. I messed myself up doing the half marathon in March by running the first three miles quicker than I usually would and had pain in my right leg for the rest of it. Slow down and see if you avoid the pain. -

You know it's been far too long since you've worked out regularly when there's nothing in the wardrobe that fits you anymore and you actually have to UP-SIZE T-shirts, pants, shirts etc. I can't even use my size M training T-shirts anymore without looking like a complete idiot. Sheesh.I am extremely serious. -

You're all a bunch of atheist looser throwing all that hard-earned Christian money around on diets, gym fees, fitness machines etc whilst there's clearly other higher ways to achieve this.Love Maintitles. It's full of Wanders. -

Anyhow, I reached 5km running today, in about half an hour!
Which is still 4 times less than Anthony's 12 miles yesterday.Kazoo -

Good job bud. If you want to tackle longer distances try slowing down your pace just a teeny bit. It will (and you will) go a long way! -

To Bregt: Craziness. CRAZINESS; I TELL YA!
I've been meaning to uphold my "two workouts a week" schedule, but some of my five(!) chronic illness thingies have acted up recently, so I have zero surplus energy.
Maybe tomorrow. I never know what it's gonna be untill I open my eyes in the morning.I am extremely serious. -

Three kilometres sound a lot to me - even just thinking about it.

( I think you jest )
I don't know what the furthest I've walked is? I know I've done more than 20 miles in one day numerous times and may have done 30 miles but I couldn't be precise.
p.s. 20 miles = approximately 31 kilometersOn Friday I ate a lot of dust and appeared orange near the end of the day ~ Bregt -

That's impressive.
I remember during my childhood, there was this annual walk around the island in Denmark where we have our summer house. I think it must have been each year between 1983 and 1990. The distance was about 30 km, and that felt excruciatingly long, especially at age 6! I could barely walk in the last couple of kilometers.I am extremely serious. -

Are we talking in a day or in one go?
40 kilometers is certainly doable, if there are enough breaks (done it many times).
In one go, up to 15 kilometers is pretty much my max.'no passion nor excitement here, despite all the notes and musicians' ~ Falkirkbairn -

In any country that's hilly, here in my part of England is pretty hilly, then anything over 30 km is good going.
I also remembered that I once walked from Bristol to Bath and back again ( we have a gorgeously scenic old railway line that's been turned into a cycle path so no worries about motorised traffic ) and that's around 45 km over an entire day, with plenty of thirsty pit-stops on the wayOn Friday I ate a lot of dust and appeared orange near the end of the day ~ Bregt
