I have recently purchased Angels & Demons by Hans Zimmer. I really need time to appreciate this score completely. But i liked opening track 160BPM and also tracks like Air, Fire, Black Smoke and Science and Religion. Overall, its good score album.Racism, Prejudices and discrimination exists everywhere. -

I listen to 160 BPM almost everyday. It's quite addictive! -

Agreed. But you know i have become addict to track Science and Religion. It contains soft choir and excellent orchestration. I love this track very much.Racism, Prejudices and discrimination exists everywhere. -

I love it too; reminds me of the best elements from HANNIBAL, DA VINCI CODE, and even Heil/Tykwer/Klimek's THE PERFUME score.Love Maintitles. It's full of Wanders. -

I think I am going to invest in this score (Angels & Demons that is). Also thinking of the latest Tribute releases and perhaps Time after Time as well. So long since I made any larger score purchases now. Looking forward to it.- What matters is the music - -

Just downloaded Un Homme Et Son Chien (or however you spell it) by Philippe Rombi. Man, what a score. It's beautiful all the way through, but that theme is a real knockout. It's so simple and soft, but so outrageously gorgeous. This is my third score of Rombi's and he has yet to disappoint. -

The "outrageously gorgeous" tag of yours is completely SPOT-ON! I am glad you liked it, Rombi is possibly the only one of the younger generation of composers who can write with the same grace as Delerue.Love Maintitles. It's full of Wanders. -

Slightly too high praise, I think.
The fact that he employs strings ina Romantic fashion does not make hime a Delerue, whose unearthly gift for melody I still haven't seen matched by anyone these days.'no passion nor excitement here, despite all the notes and musicians' ~ Falkirkbairn -

The best score I've heard this year!

I don't think it's high praise. The man has a very rare gift for melody, esp. in our days.Love Maintitles. It's full of Wanders. -

Bought some scores in Ghent today.
Home - Armand Amar
My favourite score of the year. Yes je borrows a bit from his earlier scores but it's such a good listen. The suite at the beginning contains all the core elements; lonely heartbreaking vocals (Whales), driving music with strings and percussion (Overproduction) and world music (the Shangai drum section goes wild in Dubai).
Sagan - Armand Amar
Heard the main theme on his compilation and was sold. Very captivating melody on piano. Inspired by The Hours for sure!
Kundun - Philip Glass
I know Franz loves this one and I had to check it out.
Also a cd from Mono who performed at the festival I attended last week. Its postrock music from Japan, like Mogwai or Explosions in the Sky, sometimes added with orchestra.
More cd's on the way!Kazoo -
