    Trust me, that's not the only source of violence in England. Not that I'm proud to say we're a violent nation, but it certainly happens. Meet a real a chav one day and you'll know what I mean.

    I just don't want you to be under any false pretenses -conscious or sub-conscious- that England is full of agreeable civil gentleman. For the most part, it's quite the opposite.

    I have to say the few chavs I've come into contact with have been friendly and courteous ( though rough around the edges ), don't tar everyone under one label Steven.

    Fine, I'm sure there are some good "chavs" out there... goes without saying. But the term itself is one that carries a lot of negativity with it, so I don't think it's narrow minded to dislike chavs at all. If someone acts like a chav, I instantly dislike them. Simple.

    I know it's not fair, but i am on Steve's side too, esp. when it comes to our own Cypriot and Greek versions; oh and rednecks. Can't stand them. shame
