That theme. It's the Stargate main theme. And it's in James Horner's Troy. And other places.I love you all. Never change. Well, unless you want to! -

Yeah, it's got that dramatic, "oriental" LAWRENCE OF ARABIA-vibe - a recurrent feature of Arnold's themes, by the way, also in ID4 or his Bond scores.I am extremely serious. -

Gorgeous album
And probably my favourite track from the album...

Hey Thor, see if you can guess the guitarist on this track?
Not easy....there isn't really a lot of guitar solos here, but since you're asking me, is it Gilmour?I am extremely serious. -

Sorry I mixed up the threads
On Friday night I had the opportunity to attend the opening concert of Orchestra Nova, the chamber orchestra of San Diego. They performed an all Mozart concert which was most enjoyable. Overture to Don Giovanni, Clarinet Concerto, and his Jupiter Symphony. Love the 4th movement of this work and how the fugue actually has 4 melodies all integrated into the work. Had the opportunity to meet the french horn player John Lorge, the principal clarinet player Frank Renk, who performed the Mozart Concerto so nicely, and a couple of other members with the topic being the French horn concerto of John Williams which the SD Symphony is considering performing. The Nova members are also members of the symphony. I was able to hold an intelligent conversation with them as well as introducing Carson Cooman's Nantucket Dreaming to them.

Yup. By far more interesting than regular house, IMO. More experimental and "arty", if you will, often with elements of vocals too.I am extremely serious. -

The same CD also includes a Vaughan Williams work I've never heard, Heroic Elegy & Triumphal Epilogue, it's an early work which I believe has never been recorded before!? I like it but as with the rest of this CD which contains more works from William Alwyn and York Bowen and Hubert Parry I'll need to give it more listens to become acquainted. On Friday I ate a lot of dust and appeared orange near the end of the day ~ Bregt -
