Thanks for the tips. It has randomly started working again after I wiggled about with a few things. I'll refer back to your post next time it goes wrong (which it will) so I can attempt a more serious solution.
When all else fails wiggle and boot. And manufacturer's wonder why there is a group (older I'll admit) who balk at the computer age. It is not simple, I'm sorry.

Pancreatic black death of the gallbladderous intestine.
I dunno.
I got some antibiotics (which I distrust immensely. Anything called "against-life"CANNOt be good for one) so we'll see.

What the hell is that? Is it very serious?Whatever you gaze rests on,do not use your vision, but the eyes of your soul...She knows better... -

Yes. Apparently I will die several times over the coming ten minutes.
Yet grieve not.
I die in the loving comfort of those near and dear to me.
When eventually my bleached bones are found they will be scattered over a keyboard with a dusty computer screen showing a decade old Main Titles page. And I will have a smile on my face!'no passion nor excitement here, despite all the notes and musicians' ~ Falkirkbairn -

Ahhhhhh, I'm sorry.
Just being facetious in my own..erm...facetious way (yeah, that about covers it).
The current upshot is I don't know what it is, but it's bugging the hell out of me so I tend to resort to my main source of solace at such times: blatant melodrama. I do declare I should have made a fantastic 19th century Southern Belle.
I mean "Ah do decleah!" of course.
Oh, AND "Ah'll never be hungry again!".
Anyway. Penicillin (or whatever the hell antibiotic I got) it is for now, and we'll see what horrible and agonizing death...er...I mean what status update we will have next week. Honestly it's not too bad, really, though at times there's this really quite sharp pain in my guts. Quite unpleasant, really.'no passion nor excitement here, despite all the notes and musicians' ~ Falkirkbairn -

I did!
Where do you think I got the antibiotics from?
(though apparently these are available like candy in other countries, or so I've been informed: an Iranian girl friend of mine living in The Netherlands got her mother to bring her about a kilo of diversified antibiotics on a visit because she was deeply annoyed her GP wouldn't prescribe her any for her cold... )

You did. I was going to mention his death, but am now glad I didn't, since it may have meant you beating me to it - which would be the height of embarrassment. -
