franz, feel free to run the next game if you'd like. I have a game ready, but there's no rush, so I can just run my game when I one day win, or when there's no one else volunteering to carry on the torch.

First of all, let me say that this is a very funny game that I enjoy very much, and I really want to participate myself. However, before I do so, I would like to come with a disclaimer/excuse/whatever:

    1. I have hardly bought any new soundtracks since 2001 that are not by Williams, Elfman or Goldenthal. Only the odd exception. So I obviously don't stand a chance on most new soundtracks that have been released since then.
    2. When I buy a soundtrack, I look at the track titles maybe once (when I first get it) and then never again. I don't like to associate the movie with my listening. So I'm not very good at remembering track titles!

In short, I SUCK AT THIS GAME!! smile

However, I DID recognize a handful of these (and even a track title or two!), so I'll send Bob my replies. Just don't expect me to score very high! smile

It's all for fun after all. I doubt anyone will lose respect for you if you suck at the game. wink I've had several embarrassing entries in this game in the past, but I always participate anyway, so others can feel better about themselves when I do poorly.

    14. David Julyan - The Descent (2006) - 13. Reunited with Juno
    www.maintitles.net/music/gts/bob/Clip14.mp3

This one's actually in my collection, but I don't think I've ever listened to it. There is a chord there that he used at a critical moment in THE PRESTIGE, and I would have guessed that it was him had it come down to a desperate guess.

    16. Frank Churchill & Edward H. Plumb - Bambi (1942) - 15. Reunion
    www.maintitles.net/music/gts/bob/Clip16.mp3

That sounds like BAMBI music. biggrin

    17. Danny Elfman - Sleepy Hollow (1999) - 18. A New Day!

This drove me bloody mad. I kept trying to think of people who'd copied Elfman's phrasing for brass and female choir, as I didn't think you'd quote the same composer twice. (Little did I know...)

    New game!

I know this will run over Christmas, but it doesn't really have a Christmas theme, except for an abundance of Christmas smilies. christmas_drunk There's no other theme, except that the cues are all quite neat.

The easiest tracks are in the beginning, and it gets more difficult, but more worthwhile, in the latter cues.

Easy (1 point for composer, 1 for title, 1 for track):
    -01-
    -02-
    -03-
    -04-
    -05-

Medium (1½ points for composer, 1½ for title, 1½ for track):
    -06-
    -07-
    -08-
    -09-
    -10-

Hard (2 points for composer, 2 for title, 2 for track):
    -11-
    -12-
    -13-
    -14-
    -15-

Impossible (5 points for guessing the score that the bonus is from):
    -Bonus-

Well, you would've been the only one with any guess there biggrin This was 'the hard one', though I thought some would've said The Prestige, since it indeed sounds a lot like it.

I was kinda hoping for that effect! (but didn't think it would work, because this one is so Elfmany... but indeed, especially because it is, it's something obvious that other composers would try to mimmick). Great I tricked you into it!
